HELP!! - Crayon on the tv.
CantWait wrote: How do I take it off?
McKenna replied: Is it on the glass?
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: You'll need a cleaner that's made to cut grease. Then you'll probably have to use windex to clean the streaks. Good luck. And make sure it's off and spray your cloth, not the TV.
CantWait replied: Yes the glass and the rest.
McKenna replied: But get the worst off with your finger nails first, it wont damage the surface and will make geting the rest of hell of a lot easier.
booey2 replied: WD40 works great or a Magic Eraser, definitely spray the cloth and then wipe.
cameragirl21 replied: if it's on the glass, you can use some of the stuff that is used to remove candle wax, it's really just oil. don't use greasy oil, like that you cook with or eat, use something like the vitamin e oil that you'd put on your skin. then windex away the mess. you may also be able to scrape the crayon off, like with a razor blade, just be careful not to get cut. scraping it away would be my preference because i'd be afraid to get oil or cleaner into the tv. lol, Marie, your kids sure do keep you busy, don't they?
EvesMom replied: I agree with the above suggestions. I would like to add that crayola makes washable crayons (comes off with water). It actually works too.
CantWait replied: Anthony has only really been this bad for the past couple of weeks. It's all my fault though. I was upstairs trying to lay down, I haven't been sleeping well at night, and I know he's bored.
cameragirl21 replied: oh, it's not that bad, actually, it could be worse--he could have drawn all over the wall or markered all over your sheets, bedspread, etc, i've seen it happen. the crayon will come right off the tv, especially the glass, not sure about the rest of it because it's plastic i imagine and if you take a razor blade to plastic you'll scrape the plastic. i know it's cold where you live but is it possible to take him outside, like to the park or something, let him run around for 30 minutes to an hour and then maybe you can both take a nap? the cold air will wake you up long enough to let him play and if you wear him out sufficiently, he may allow you a bonafide nap.
mom21kid2dogs replied: toothpaste. BTDT worked like a dream
CantWait replied: Ahhhhhhhhhh no, it's -17 here and that doesn't include the windchill. Unexposed areas would easily freeze in less then 10 minutes.
luvmykids replied: MagicEraser, gets crayon off just about anything
sparkys2boys replied: I love magic erasers too!! They work so good on anything!
