HELP! Need another side dish - B-day party is Saturday!

Bamamom wrote: I'm having chicken spaghetti, broccoli salad, garlic bread, green beans and ???? I need one other side dish that would go nicely with this meal. Something easy and simply.

Any ideas are appreciated!!!!!

lisar replied: Potato salad!!!

Bamamom replied:
I had thought of that - but is that too much starch - noodles and potatoes at the same meal? Please let me know if you guys think it's okay cause that would be a great solution!

CantWait replied:
Not only starch but Breads and Noodles (you also have the garlic bread), might be a bit much. What about some kind of fruit.

lisar replied:
Me I dont look at the starches and stuff like that, I just make what I like. There is always at least one veggie though.

Bamamom replied: I'm kind of looking for another veggie. I thought of corn - back to my starch issue. Peas - do they really go with the meal. Spinach casserole? So hard to make...

I JUST DON"T KNOW!!! ARGHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Yeah - I'm overthinking this...

Kaitlin'smom replied: I love steemed carrotts

A&A'smommy replied: I agree fruit would be good.. peas would be great!!

momofone replied: Green Lettuce salad

A&A'smommy replied:
okay you just made me hungry laugh.gif

that would be perfect right there, that is what you should do!!!

lisar replied:
I agree. This is a great idea.

Calimama replied: I agree with some kind of salad!

CantWait replied: Yup a lettuce salad indeed. I was also going to say cheese.
Either way I wanna come lol.

Bamamom replied: Of course you're all invited - no need to RSVP - just show up LOL!!!

I was doing a broccoli salad - I know you're all tired so I'm going to forgive that you missed that in the original post rolling_smile.gif

But I like the carrots idea - how do you cook them???

Our Lil' Family replied: I was going to suggest carrots as well. I buy a bag of baby carrots and boil them until tender. Then I season with a little butter, salt, pepper and parsley.
