Hillbilly Housewife wrote: It's my second one in 7 years. I was at the ER yesterday from 4:30 pm until 2:30 am. I got an echo cardiogram around 8:30pm. I saw the doctor around 11pm. I got my MRI around midnight, and the doctor didn't come see me aobut the images until around 2:15am.
I'm glad I dont live far form the hospital, dh was able to come and go.
Sorry if I'm in and out for the next little while. I've got to take it easy. It seems my TIA is brought on by neurological migraines or somethingn like that. The laptop gives me headaches sometimes, so I'm going to avoid it for a bit.
redchief replied: Rocky, I'm sorry. I hope you're feeling better soon!

punkeemunkee'smom replied: Get some rest and know that you will in the prayers of many!
TLCDad replied: I've had those TIA episodes a few times in the last 10 years myself... at least that is what the doctor said they were. What happens to me is I start seeing like a horizontal lighting strike in one or both eyes regardless if they are open or not and then I can not think very well and get numbness starting from my lips down to my hands and legs on one side. This lasts for about 15-20 minutes then I am back to normal. I've had one about 1-3 times a year since 1998. Doctor said it is brought on by a "silent migrane" from stress.
Definitely scares me. This is what I though Dee Dee was having on our way back from KY and the other day but the symptoms are not exactly the same. Has me worried.
jcc64 replied: Wow, Rock- that sounds pretty intense. Please take care of yourself, hon.

moped replied: WOW Rocky, takeit easy! Hope you are feeling better!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Yeah, that happens to me. But mine are just vision goes black...even when my eyes are closed, they definitely go darker. Then I get the spots. Then my ears buzz, the side of my face goes numb, as do my arms and toes.
Also, I speak jibberish for about an hour. That's the wierdest part. You say something, but you can hear yourself say something completely different. Not just like slip-of-the-tongue different.... you want to say that you're going to put the box down, and you say that DaPa Gornish mako Shdip
It's really freaaaaaky.
But anyways - yes, it's like a mini stroke...but no lasting permanent damage like a stroke has. They can be brought on by migraines.
The migraines I have aren't the typical migraines where you need to lie down and have all the lights off and the appliances unplugged... or am I the only one who can walk into a house and tell you if there's a tv on, which direction, and which level? The migraines I have are similar to the dull throb of a hangover...or if you've never had a hangover, like an annoying dull headache in the back of your head, but that lasts 3 days.
It's scary...but not as bad as the 1st time - at least this time I knew what was goin on.
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Don't overdo it today, Rocky. You definately don't need to bring another of those on. KUP with how you are, though.
gr33n3y3z replied: Sorry Rocky I hope you feel better hun
