How are you guys doing. Last I read your hubby was back. Is he gone again or do you get to keep him for a while?

We're good. He's home and actually tonight is the first night since he's been back home that he's had to leave overnight.. it's so unlike the Marine Corps to leave him home every night for 3 months.

We've started deployment training but have no word of when, where, or how long. DH is thinking they'll go around March-June (2009), hopefully he's right.. his unit hasn't been here for the holidays for the last 2 years. Luckily DH just missed last years.

What about you guys? Is he deployed?

BabyOwen427 replied: No, he's here with me. He's not scheduled for a deployment until 2010 to Afgan. Frankly I'm suprised that we have nothing until then, but very happy about it. Of course with a change coming in our presidency the deployment schedule may change as well. He's been doing little 3 week AT missions. Helping to train those who are deploying in Oct. He has a ton of fun with those. He gets to pretend to be an Iraqi insurgent and try to attack convoys. I wish I could tag along just to watch.

I hope your hubby gets to spend Christmas with Miabella and you of course. It's no fun when they're gone for special times like that.

Oh oh oh I'm jealous of him! I always tell DH to sign me up to play a cooperative Iraqi civilian woman when they do those training missions but he just rolls his eyes.

That's great that he has so long until he goes, the more training the better!

BabyOwen427 replied: Yeah, Curtis asked if I could tag along. They said only if I was joining the Army. I said I'd think about it long enough to go play with them for a day. It didn't fly with them.
