Have you ever known anyone who??? - ok-this turned into a BIG vent! SIA!
punkeemunkee'smom wrote: Gets immediate and horrible morning (all day) sickness the minute they find out they are pregnant? One of my friends found out she is pregnant and suddenly can not move....she is so sick. Lastnight I went over to her house to 'help' her with a project for her work (City wide Christmas celebration on Friday-she was supposed to make the posters for the 'Santa Train') Anyway I took most of the day yesterday finding images online, printing them, coloring them-adding glitter, ETC. I had a meeting lastnight but we skipped Dance and went over there cuz she was really tired and needed those pages. I got there she helped cut out 5 ornaments and layed on the couch. I went to the meeting, went by the store to get garland and came back to the poster I had started in the same spot. I did not mind-I LOVE stuff like this so she said she was too tired to stay awake and so I brought the posters home and finished them at 3 o'clock this morning They need them today ....Anyway they look cute! But here is where I just got kinda I emailed her jokingly at 3 and said Hey Girlie...I am done with only one major burn to my thumb (hot glue and I really did burn the crap outta myself ) but they look cute. Call me in the AM so I can bring them to you. Can you watch Tay while I tan or are you going to? Still think that is weird-call me at about 9 to wake me up. Hope you are feeling better since lastnight She emails me back at 8:15 this morning I am having a bad day! Dry heaves all morning. Look online for me and see how long this should last? OK I can get past the no Thanks but the part that has me so is that she found out 2 days ago she is pregnant but the kicker is she is 10 weeks already-ummmm doesn't morning sickness start before now? If you made it this far-thanks for 'listening' to me whine!
mummy2girls replied: ((HUGS))) Sorry she was no help
It depends on the person when it comes to MS. Me with jenna i was 4 weeks when i started and it lasted for 5 months and it was an all day dry heaving and vomitting day.. ICK!
lisar replied: Sorry. But yea I know people like that who as soon as they hear they are pregnant they all of a sudden have ALL THE SYMPTONS that you could possibly have. lol I was sick with Lexi before I found out. I thought I had the flu or something. My sister kept telling me I was pg but I told her there was no way. Come to find out I was PG.
luvbug00 replied: Ugh hope your fingers feel better and your friend gets a hold of some crackers and gingerale
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Yeah. It drives me NUTS. Ok, granted, some people really ARE sick and too tired to do anything... but come on. That far along and only now being sick just after knowing she's pregnant? Coincidence? maybe....
sparkys2boys replied: well at least yiu were a great and true friend to help her out like that!!!! WTG!!! On the other stuff just try to grin and bear it, maybe she is sick, maybe not.. but at least either way you were great!!!
TANNER'S MOM replied: Well just because she is PG doesn't mean she can take advantage of a friend.. I am sorry she did that.
Bring Tay to me and you can go tanning..lol
hoosier momma replied: Some women just think being pregnant gives you an excuse to be waited on 24/7 for the entire pregnancy. Sorry you had to deal with this, don't let her take even further advantage of you.
Calimama replied: Ugh I love my friend to death but the moment she gets pregnant.. and I mean she'll be fine all day, take a pregnancy test and suddenly her back hurts and she cant bend down because "the baby". She called me over when I was 2 days until my due date to help her move a couch because she was "too pregnant".. she was 6 wks!! My DH about had a heartattack he was so mad.
CantWait replied: Sorry. Hopefully your friend isn't actually trying to pull a fast one on ya and is genually sick.
I can tell ya with Robbie I had MS almost start to finish. Not to mention the dizzy spells in the beginning and black outs.
With Anthony I was literally so fatigued (and not just tired) that if I didn't need to do something, I didn't. I slept about half my pregnancy.
Glad you got the stuff finished though, with or without her.
Crystalina replied: Ok yes, I did not get any morning sickness until after I found out I was pg both times. It was weird. I was sick but didn't actually vomit until I found out. BUT, with that being said I worked unitl the week Izabella was born and with Evan I was hanging drywall and moved a sofacouch (DH wasn't home and I wanted it out of the truck!) into my house by myself! He was born the next day. I also uprooted a weeping cherry tree and replanted it the same day.
It sounds like it's going to be a very long 9 months for your friend. I'll pray for your sanity.
Crystalina replied: Wait a minute. Did you say she also goes to tanning? Can you do that while pg?
luvmykids replied: I worked with a girl who didn't find out she was pg until about 16 weeks, no morning sickness until then
Sorry about the glue gun too, I usually manage to fry a finger too
Boo&BugsMom replied: You're not suppose to. Too many rays that can cause severe brain damage.
I am curious why she can't look up that informatin herself on the internet. Does she not have it? If she does, that's just plain lazy and I don't care how sick she is. Good for you for being such a wonderful friend!
My3LilMonkeys replied: Good for you for being such a great friend!!! I know what ya mean though...I worked with a girl who found out she was PG and immediately could no longer send her own faxes, deliver her own memos, etc because that much walking was "bad for the baby". Instead she would ask me to do it - and I was about 6 months PG myself!
mom2my2cuties replied: With both of my kids - I didn't start getting really bad morning sickenss until AFTER I found out I was pregnant. Which from what I understand does happen the majority of the time. And with both of my kids - I was dog sick. So I can't say if she is taking advantage of you or not - knowing her - you would have to make that call. But! Great Job being a friend no matter what! Speaks volumes about you.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: I am absolutely NOT saying I don't believe in morning sickness-I just want to make sure everyone understands that All I was saying is that all of the sudden she is SO SICK and she is already past what I have always known to be the norm for it's onset As far as the tanning thing goes-I thought you could not tan during pregnancy but her doctor told her go ahead...I told her that body temp should not be pushed that high because it could soften your cervix but she doesn't want to listen-thus the 'still think that is weird' comment in my email-anyway here is what I found online so I guess maybe the doc was correct in the radiation form of the question anyway..
As to if she has the internet Yes-but I am the google queen So I guess that is why she wanted me to look it up-plus have studied (midwifery) the subject so alot of my friends ask me to tell them or find out for them-I really don't usually mind....I know I sounded petty in my vent-I guess the is more to the back story but I would be typing all day and I was just sleepy and ticked this morning Thanks for the nice words I really wasn't looking for a pat on the back-just whining- The up side is that the people at the City offices really loved the posters
mckayleesmom replied: I had Morning sickness from start to finish with Mckaylee and none with Russell....so it is possible.
I do think that some woman fake it, but I also think that some woman create it....Sometimes if you realize you have something...you can trick your mind into giving you the symptons too.....Does that make sense?
mom2my2cuties replied: Abbie - I wasn't saying I didn't believe you or rather didn't believe in morning sickenss Which is why I said as a friend you have to judge her actions If she is the type to whine and drama everything - probably not so serious as she is putting on. But if she is usually one tough cookie - the she is probably pretty sick I guess is all I was saying
I thought the UV thing is a little wierd too - especially since with both of mine my doctor has specifically advised NOT using a tanning bed. No chance of me doing it anyway - too dang clostorphobic..
punkeemunkee'smom replied: No,I wasn't meaning you I just re-read and realized it did kinda sound like I was poo-pooing the fact that women get sick! It is just that she found out on Monday and got 'sick' Monday afternoon She is usually not really empathetic to anyone else but she is a pretty big baby-Love her but just stating the facts I know lots of women get sick after they find out when hormones really kick in but she is anywhere btween 10-13 weeks (dates and size don't match) so really more than mad it kinda makes me and
As for the tanning-I am worried about it-you can really raise your temp in those beds and I know from study that it is BAD to do so while preggy...I know it is bad for you anyway but I live in Texas we are always in the sun and TBH...My motto has become Tan Fat looks better than White Fat! I only go about every 5-10 days except this month I will step it up-gotta do something for the wedding
