Have you ever talked to anyone from online......

I never have, but I think it might be fun in the future to be able to talk to someone from the board on the phone.

amynicole21 replied: I've met with three of the moms from another board, and it has worked out great! We get together every couple of months and have dinner with the kids or something. They all live in town, so it's easy to do.

Originally, I thought you were asking about meeting someone online other than on the boards... This is how I met my last boyfriend. I moved to FL to be with him and we broke up 2 years later. It was a good experience all in all... he was just too hung up on himself I hate dating.

jdkjd replied: On another board, I realized that there was a mommy from Tallahassee that had the same favorite restaurants. So we met for lunch and realized that we went to the same high school and that I dated a guy we both had crushes on in high school.

Now we are great buddies and have had the girls play together-big fun!

Of course, you know her as kit kat's mom...but we had so much in common that we couldn't not meet each other...

mckayleesmom replied: I met my husband online,,,,we had talked for about 4 years before we met...We were usually dating other people and we would give each other advice..I talked to him on the phone too. As for meeting women from the parenting sites and stuff...I don't even think anyone lives near me...I live in Superior Wisconsin,,accross the bridge from Duluth where my husband is stationed. If my husband decides to stay in recruiting,,which I doubt he is they would want him in Grand Rapids.

Actually I met my DH the same way. We knew each other for a good four years before we actually got ot meet.

Because of the nature of our business, it just kind of comes with the territory......this next month I will be meeting a bunch of people that we met online and I've talked to on the phone - we'll be going to a conference in Dallas.

But I would be willing to meet with someone as long as it was a public place in the first place. I wouldn't meet someone at my house for the first time, but I would over time, I guess....

Kaitlin'smom replied: way back with BBS I met alot of friends that way, lost touch with most of them now. I miss some of them. My DH and I used to have parties for our BBS, we woul dhave like 25-30 people in a one bedroom apartment! talk about cramped.

now it seems a little scary to do, but I would in a public place until I was compy with them then maybe have them over or go to there house.

A&A'smommy replied: I have talked to people on the phone and i met my ex online but that was because a girl i knew liked him and she added him to my msn messenger and then i got to talking to him. Other than that i have never really met anyone i have talked to online although i do have one friend from south africa that i have been corresponding with for three years and i would love to meet him in person! I think if i trusted them enough i would mee them in person and talk to them on the phone.
