He fell off the couch!!!!!!!

Gavin was napping on the couch and I went to go get some yogurt and I hurt a thump and then he started to cry. OH MAN! I dropped everything and ran to see...NO BABY ON THE COUCH! I looked down and the poor little guy was laying halfway underneath the table. HOW in the heck did he get off the couch?

I feel so bad that he fell...I should have been holding him like always...I ALWAYS hold him bc he doesn't like to be put down. He stopped crying the second I got my hand on him and I rocked him and now he's laying on my lap napping, so he obviously didn't hurt himself too badly, but GOSH I FEEL HORRIBLE! My little sweetie's first fall

He's only 2 weeks old, how did he get off the couch?

Boys r us replied: OH NO!!!! this happened to me w/ Braedon when he was only 8 days old..have no idea HOW he got himself off of the couch, but I DO know that my heart stopped!
Tanner was in school and Rick was out of twon on business and I was all alone and thought I'd near killed my newborn..it was terrible..but he was okay..apparently these lil babies are made pretty tough!

Give Gavin lots of kisses and he'll be okay, I'm sure!

But I am glad he is okay. But now you know how active he is and that you will have your hands full!

BTW I saw those pics of him and he is such a cutie pie!! I can't wait to see more.

Jenna rolled off the couch when she was a few weeks old. Scared the crap out of me. And my mom told me a story of how she was pushing my brother in his stroller when she was taking him to his 2 months shots. And as she was going down the curb he slid right out and onto the ground. this was 30 years ago and he seems ok. LOLOLOL

3_call_me_mama replied: Newborns can roll over, kathleen rolled over in the hospital the day she was born and almost fell off the warming table in the nursery due to a careless nurse! So never underestimate the power of a NEWBORN!

Kaitlin'smom replied: oh my how frightfull for you. its really amazing what they can do. I was so afraid of kaitlin fallin onto the floor that if I had to get up and say got to the bathroom either she went into her basinette and rolled with me or a few pillows on the floor.

My2Beauties replied: Oh my, how scary! I could only imagine! Hanna didn't like to be laid down flat neither so I always put her in her car seat and carried her around the house like that! Those little babies can do some amazing things! I'm glad he's ok and how scary for mommy!

A&A'smommy replied: OH gosh I know that must have scared the crap out of you!!! Alyssa did this to me once but I don't remember how old she was Tiny obviously because I never did it again I know you feel bad but you didn't do it on purpose so don't beat yourself up! (((HUGS)))

kit_kats_mom replied: There is nothing like our reaction to the thuds. K rolled off of our bed when she was 3 mos old. I felt awful and was literally sick with fear and guilt. It happens though.
