He slapped the wrong girl

I just got done telling my mom 2 days ago that the only thing I don't like about Jeff is the story about him leaving his ex girlfriend. When I was there this summer he told me that he just packed up one day and left while his girlfriend was sleeping....and left the state. Never to see her again. He told me this himself...so it made me concerned that this might be my sister and Saylar's fate as well some day.

I stayed at my moms house over the summer and he was always nice, had a job, payed money to my mom for rent, groceries etc. Although I didn't think he was the right fit with my sister (which was my moms concern)..overall he treated her well and at least was trying to be responsible for my sister and their daughter. The only thing that irked me was that he didn't help out physically with his daughter as much as he should.

Fast forward to yesterday. My sister was talking to my brother about getting her car fixed on the phone...When she hung up...Jeff walked up and he slapped her. For no reason... Well he messed with the wrong girl because anybody who knows my sister knows that she is like the female Chuck Norris with boobs.....My moms boyfriend had to pry my sisters hands away from him. She beat him down and had him by the hair (he has long hair) and was slamming his face into a wall. My sister is seriously like 115 lbs...but she is psycho when shes mad......My sister called the cops and then ran after him because he was getting into HER car....he then slammed the door on her fingers.

They cops came and took a report...Then later that night he came home like nothing happened...she told him to get out and my moms boyfriend didn't pull the cords on the car fast enough..so he made away with her car again.

Later my mom and sister went to his work and found her car parked in another lot (he tried to hide it) and took it. Its locked in my moms garage now. He has a restraining order on him now and my sister said she is so done with him.

Apparently he has other warrants out for his arrest for something and they went to his work early this morning and arrested him...for the assualt on my sister and the 2 priors.
He also cashed their tax return check for 5 grand and she probably won't see any of it, but like she told the cops...He can keep the 5 grand because its a small price to pay to have you and your child safe.


Im shocked....I didn't think this was in his character at all. The first thing I said when my mom told me he slapped her was "is he crazy"?......I totally know my sister.

No...he always is the first one to say he would never hit a girl.....guess he changed his mind....I think he will rethink it next time though.

I'm thinking, though, that maybe something similar happened with his ex and he was trying to "save face" by saying he left her. It's not very macho to be dumped by a grrl, and he sure wouldn't want to admit he'd hit her.

She didn't want to charge him with grand theft because the car he took wasn't insured....he let it laps and if they pulled him over..they would tow it and my sister would have to pay the fines.
