Hello. - Updates Please...
mammag wrote: Hello everyone! It has been so long since I've been around. I was trying to look around and see what is going on with all the members I remember and so much seems different.
I'd love to get updates from all of you on what's been going on.....marriages, babies, etc.
As for me.... Not a whole lot has changed. The kids are getting bigger of course. My sister is staying with my parents here while her husband is in Iraq so we've gotten a lot of time together. It is the first time we have lived in the same town as adults so it's been really fun.
The kids are doing well with schooling at home still. They all scored Accelerated on the State tests which made me feel good about what I'm doing.
I'm taking Jiu-Jitsu like the kids now and have one stripe. That has been really fun.
I believe all else remains the same for me. I'd love to hear from all of you what has been going on.
gr33n3y3z replied: OMG Jeanie I missed you so much Everyone here is doing good I have so much to say but I got to run now ttys
luvbug00 replied: Glad to hear all is well !!!
3xsthefun replied: Hi, it is nice to hear from you. Glad you all are doing well!
As for me I think my username has changed since the last time you was here. I was kaitnmaegy'smommie. I had a baby boy in June.
mammag replied: I recognized the girls right away and thought you must have changed the name. They look so beautiful! Congratulations on the baby boy! He is absolutely adorable.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: HI! It is great to 'hear' how things are going for you! Congrats on the kid's test scores and your stripe Many prayers for your BIL's safe and speedy return home! Things are pretty much the same in our neck of the woods too. We will be starting 1st grade this year. (I think I am relearning too ) We are still homeschooling as well. Taylor is growing like a weed and I am loving this stage. Hope to see you around more
mammag replied: My goodness! 1st grade already?!?! I know what you mean about relearning. I feel that way too. Especially with Kristen because most of what she is learning, I don't even remember learning in the first place. By the time they graduate I'll be one smart cookie!
punkeemunkee'smom replied: I feel the same way! I am not, however looking forward to Algebra!
Kaitlin'smom replied: Wow long time I was just thinking about you the other day and wondering how you were.
Not much changed here, Kaitlin is growing up to fast, she is so diverse in thinks she likes to it its amazing.
Congrats on everything new/different in your life.
Oh I guess my boss retiring and getting a new one is different for me LOL it just happened last week so we are still working some things out.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Hey Jeanie!! I was so excited to see your name pop up this morning!
Maddie will start 2nd grade one week from today. Ethan is 3.5 years old now. They are both doing really well.
I'm glad to hear your gang is doing good. How awesome that you are getting to spend so much time w/your sister!!! I remember the history there.
I hope you are able to find the time to post more.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Hi Jeanie! So good to see you drop in! Hope you stick around! Every time I hear someone mention homeschool, I think of you! Glad it is going well and the kids scored great on their tests...Good job mom!
We're good over here. Wil is just about to turn three. We are "trying" to potty train and he is starting preschool in two weeks. Wesley is just about 14 months (did you even know I had a second boy?). He is cruising on furniture and repeating words. We are hoping to move back to California to live closer to family...Just a future goal. Hopefully the near future...That's it!
mammag replied: Yes I believe you had him right before I slipped away. I can't believe how big they are. Wil doesn't even look like the same kid. They are both so cute.
I am working with Keegan on potty training also but he is showing no interest at all. He says he likes his diapers so buying him new undies didn't do it. The whole potty training thing has never been one of my favorite moments of motherhood.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Wil is not taking to it very well either! He is in a diaper this morning because he truly refuses to go on the potty and I'm tired of cleaning stained bedspreads, pillows and undies. He will go on the potty, but only if I take him kicking and screaming...Or I offer candy. Boys. Sigh.
mammag replied: You know it's so funny. I know it's been a bit but somehow it hit me when you said Maddie is 7.... Almost like I expected all you guy's kids to look the same...be the same. It makes me a bit sad. Conner is going to be in 2nd grade too. Time sure does fly!
I am hoping to be able to post more. I did miss you guys! I appreciate the warm welcome back and well wishes.
Mommy2BAK replied: OMG I have wondered about you lady!!! I'm glad everything seems to be going well for you... come play with us when you can!
luvmykids replied: Hey Jeanne! Good to hear from you Glad everyone is doing well, I'm sure it's been a big help to your sister to be able to spend this time with you.
Not much new here, the twins are starting K in about three weeks Other than that, life is the usual chaos
mummy2girls replied: I have big news.. My boyfriend of 12 months proposed to me a couple weeks ago. he is going ring shopping with his sister in the next few days:)
mammag replied: Wow! That IS big news! I saw the picture in your signature and was happy too see you had a special someone in your life. Congratulations! You deserve this happiness! How excited you must be.
jcc64 replied: My girl Jeanie- WHAT'S UP?!!!!!! I think of you often and wonder how you're doing- now I know! Lots has happened to me. I finally lost my job- company went Chapter 11 after a long decline and intense overseas competition. I've been given an opportunity to re-train with all expenses paid, so I am now enrolled full time in school preparing to become a middle/high school English or special ed teacher. Pretty intimidating to go back to school after all this time, but very exciting! My oldest is going to be a sophomore in h.s., the middle one is entering 7th gr, and my little baby girl is about to start kindergarten.
I'll keep you b-i-l in my thoughts, and I hope you pop in from time to time- miss you!

I been good I had a ruff time March 28th I had a ruptured appendix and developed a seconary infection 3 to 4 weeks later its been 3 months of h*ll but I'm doing good now just working off all this extra fat that developed.
What have all of you been up to?
mammag replied: That is so great that you are going back to school! I really admire you for that. What a role model you are for your kids!!! The timing seems good with your little one starting K....which is unfathomable to me!!!
I have thought of you often as well and wondered how you are. I will admit..... I often think of you in regards to political issues and wonder, "I wonder what Jeanne would have to say about this or that".
Thanks so much for the thoughts for my bil! He will be home for a break in November and we are all counting down the days!
mammag replied: Lisa, it sound like your kids are really doing well for themselves! That is so great to hear. You guys are such great parents though so I didn't expect any less.
I'm glad you are doing okay. That is scarey! You poor thing. I'm just happy you are feeling better now...who cares about a little extra fat....I have some and don't have any good excuse for it except that I'm eating too much.
MommyToAshley replied: OMG! I was so excited when I saw your name.... we've REALLY missed you around here.
Congrats on your kids scoring so well on the testing and congrats on your stripe! I've always admired your commitment to homeschooling. Sounds like you have been busy. But, you aren't allowed to disappear on us again!
Ashley is getting ready to start kindergarten. I am still in denial. I stressed over where to send her to Kindergarten just like I did for preschool... see some things never do change.
TANNER'S MOM replied: OMG I have missed you too. I miss talking about books and kids with you. I am glad everything is going great.
For us it's all the same. Kids are bigger, Brittany is driving, the boys are mean and Tiff is the same.
I am glad to see you girl!
KingMom replied: Glad to see you around. I don't post a lot but still read a lot!
I've had a baby I think, a girl, she just turned one and Colin is almost 3 (in October).
Lauren is walking and Colin is just starting to take of talking, his vocab gets better everyday.
Glad to hear your family is well, you are such a strong person to stick with homeschooling and do so WELL, congrats on that
