He's been in daycare 3 days - and already sick!!!

Schnoogly wrote: Argh! I knew he would get sick more often, but I didn't think it would only take 3 days. We're home today--Iain caught a bad cough from another baby (whom they assured me was not contagious anymore) and has a slight fever. He also vomited last night and this morning. He has never actually barfed before other than spitting up--there sure is a difference!

I was kinda planning on having him at home for part of the day today anyway since I'm not at work. He seems OK, just tired.

And I swear he gets bigger each day--he looked just HUGE when I got home last night. Does he get that much bigger everyday or am I just noticing more because I've been away from him?? bawling.gif

Mommieto2Girls replied: Here's some get well vibes for Iain !!! ~~~~~~*****~~~~~~
I hope he feels better.

chloe&tysmommy replied: aww.. poor Iain,

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*sending get well vibes*~*~*~*~*~*~*

mummy2girls replied: Poor Ian!!!

I know how you feel though. jenna got sick in daycare alot. its like she decided to get everything now than later. but there is a good thing though..they build up a really good immunne system being in daycare because they are around kids sick more than usual.

MamaMartie replied: grouphug.gif I hope Iain feel better soon. It is so awful when little ones get sick, b/c hard on mommy and baby.

CantWait replied: Yup they sure do get sick more often. Robbie was always sick when he started Daycare and school, never before that.
Hope Iain is feeling better soon. wub.gif

Kirstenmumof3 replied: grouphug.gif sending getwell wishes to Iain! I'm sorry he got sick, but hope he feels better soon! grouphug.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Poor sweetie! It was the same with Zach - although now that Playgroup was over for the sumer, he stopped getting colds. rolleyes.gif

I can't *wait* for Playgroup to start again...... *sigh*

(Although, I have to admit, I'm still going to be sending Zach to daycare 2 days a week once the new baby is born... heh heh....call me selfish! wink.gif )

Schnoogly replied: Well if you're selfish then so am I! I was just thinking how hard it is having one and working. How do all of you with 2+ do it?? I feel so guilty. He has a 101 degree fever and diarrhea now too. I'm waiting to see if it gets worse before I call the doc. It's probably just a stomach bug. If he didn't go to daycare he wouldn't be sick sad.gif I gave him tylenol for the fever and I'm pushing bottles & nursing, will try some plain pedialyte later to see if he goes for it, and maybe some 'nanas to help with the poop.

But he still insists on playing...just slowly. He's playing with his favorite fish toy right now. Every once in a while he stops and stares into space, but when I try holding him he just gets mad. Poor baby, he doesn't know what is wrong! This is the first time he's really been sick. He had a mild cold last winter but it was over quickly.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Poor baby..... don,t worry (I know, hard to do considering....) he'll get used to being sick. It's harder I think for us to watch them go through it.... but kids are tough.

Guest replied: hope he feels better soon .... extra hugs from the philippines rolleyes.gif

DansMom replied:
Poor little guy!!! We'll all be sending get-well vibes Iain's way. Hopefully, he'll feel much better in a few hours.

supermom replied: Hope he feels better soon!! And yes, at least he gets to build up his immune system and will get it over with before he goes to school. The teachers used to say they could almost tell which kids had been in daycare or at least "out and about" to those who stayed home all the time because of how many times the kids were sick!!

Hugs to you and Iain.....

I'm sure he's getting bigger, but you notice it more because you are not with him all the time. HUGS again!

MommyToAshley replied: <<HUGS>>

Poor baby! I hope he is feeling better soon!
