Hey everyone!!! Look at what Tyler did yesterday!! - *warning graphic*
Bee_Kay wrote: Tyler went deer hunting for the first time and got his first buck!! A 4 pt / 130 lbs! Grandpa "christened" him with a sweep of deer blood on his cheek (must be a guy thing lol)!! OMG! Tyler was soooooo excited. His shot was perfect. The deer died instantly (Tyler was so nervous that he would make a "wound" shot).
Donna027 replied: the deer blood is a nice touch LOL
mom2my2cuties replied: Yummy!!!
I love deer meat!!!!!
A&A'smommy replied: WTG Tyler!!!!! He even got the blood smeared on him
Calimama replied: Glad he had a good time.
quinnandjacob'smom replied: Congrats to him, that's quite an accomplishment
J-rod replied: nice shot. bow kill i presume?
i dont know where you are if gun season is in yet.
Bee_Kay replied: It was firearm... he made a clean shot with a 30 06. We live in MN. Season ends next Sunday, so he is going out this weekend (he still has a doe tag to fill).
gr33n3y3z replied: very nice meat in the freezer and you know the rest I dont think I can say it here LOL
J-rod replied: cool. our gun season doesnt open until the 20th. it always opens the monday of thanksgiving week.
Boo&BugsMom replied: WTG Tyler! Hubby will be going hunting this weekend.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Ewww.
graphic isn't the word I would have used...
Good for him though.
ZandersMama replied:
redplaydoh replied: Good for him... I know he's proud.
1lilpeanut2love replied: That's an awesome acheivement. Good Job to him!
holley79 replied: How wonderful! I'm glad he got his buck.
moped replied: WTG! I bet he is proud!
punkeemunkee'smom replied: WTG Tyler! That will taste even better on the table knowing he provided the meal!
MyLuvBugs replied: WTG Tyler!!!! That's awesome!
my2monkeyboys replied: Absolutely! Good shot, Tyler!
Bee_Kay replied: Sorry to those who were/are offended... it wasn't my intent at all.... It didn't cross my mind that this could or would be offensive.
Sorry.
Our Lil' Family replied: Somehow I knew that was going to happen!
Sorry Barb...I was not offended, in fact my dad called me Sat. for my birthday from the woods and I asked if he had some deer sausage yet!!
skinkybaby replied: Nothing to apologize for! That is a wonderful accomplishment! Congrats, Tyler!
J-rod replied: i guess some people like freedom of speech and self expression unless it goes against their feelings.
way to go tyler....enjoy the addiciton that is deer hunting. i have only been one day in 2 years due to moving away and work. ill probably get to go two days this year.
kit_kats_mom replied: It's not my cup of tea and I really didn't expect to see it this morning when I got online (before the "graphic" was added) but I know some people enjoy the sport of hunting and I can understand how a young man may feel after his first kill. I'm sure he was quite proud of himself and that's a good feeling. Sorry others complained.
CantWait replied: Not what I expected either, but congrats to him.
CantWait replied: I don't think people were really offended by what was done but more by the fact that the explanation was more graphic then expected.
Cece00 replied: Ditto. Maybe we dont feel the same way b/c of where we live??
My dad will start going soon, too...I'm sure we'll be eating deer in the next few months. I actually have a roast in my freezer right now, but I prefer the sausage or backstrap.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Barb... sorry my post came across as a complaint, it wasn't. If it was, I would have reported it to a mod, and followed proper procedures. I'm not going to be a hypocrite and report it to myself so I can delete it, you know?
It just wasn't what I was expecting to see first thing in the morning...
maybe next time add that it's a "hunting picture" or something... becaues although it's graphic... graphic doesn't bother me, but a buck with a shot to the head and bleeding all over your son... ewww....
Thank you for your apology in PM though, it really wasn't necessary. And please don't remove your picture on my account... Like I said in my original post, good for him.
As for your comment, J-rod, I guess it's directed at me... but you know what... what-ever, I'll be the mature one and not reply.
J-rod replied: wasnt directed to you at all...but i wish to not start a fight so ill keep my mouth shut about my feelings to those who.............../END
Boo&BugsMom replied: You just did!
Jamison'smama replied: I may be the one that she believed she offended (and I wasn't Bee Kay)...I put the *warning graphic* on the post and sent a PM. I have no problem with anyones right to hunt...my father did it, it may not be my thing but it is a right. I opened the post this morning and was also not prepared for what I saw. I think that was THE ONLY complaint anyone was making. No one needs to apologize or get touchy, it was just a little bit of a shock to see.
Now, congrats to the little guy---
grapfruit replied: I can't see the picture...
Crystalina replied: Darn it! I can't see it either. Oh well, I assume it's a picture of a dead deer and your little hunter. Duh! How old is he? DH wants to take Evan "pretend" hunting with him on the off season. He got his matching briar proof hunting chaps and jacket just like Daddy. DH prefers rabbit hunting to deer though. I can't stand to cook the rabbit so we give them to the in-laws or our elderly neighbors who are so grateful for it.
I do cook up the pheasant when he goes on pheasant hunts.
