Anyway, they are sculptures and they are in a museum. Different museums but they are considered art (to some).

The first one looks like any baby that came out of any woman who ever had a baby.

And the second one is totally fictitious.


:ETA: I only added "and a bit scary" to the OP because I meant the close-upness and size of a baby that big would be scary, I did not mean it was actually "scary" and really didn't think anyone else would either.

Ok, I'm not going to debate who's baby looked like an old man and who's baby came out looking like a pretty pink bundle of cuteness but it's obvious from looking at the sculpture the baby is supposed to be freshly out of the womb and I'm taking that from the fact that there is "blood" still on it. I'm not sure about anyone else's babies but I know I've seen at least 5 born IRL and they all had that same old man look to them. Granted the look doesn't stick around long but from womb to table this is pretty accurate.

::ETA:: And the angle with which the photo is shot I'm sure doesn't help it much.

LOL yeah I think it's just the angle. Miabella certainly didn't come out a pink bundle of cuteness... more like blue, wet, and wrinkly.

Kaitlin'smom replied: its got to be an angle cause thats creepy in the way it looks like and squsied old man face on a newborn. I dont ever remember seeing that on any baby I have ever seen, smooched and wrinkled but never looking old so I am going with camera angle.

Scary babies!!! I like to picture them as being sweet and cute, although I think Ayden looked like an old man at first too. But wow, those are sculptures?

I'm remember mine looking like that too. Like I said, I think it's just the magnitude of that sculpture that doesn't really capture the "baby" in it. I know I'm weird.
