Just so you know I am at home now. I did go to the doctor’s office on Monday. When I got there the baby’s heart rate was between 180 and 200. This, I will say, truely freaked me out. They put me on the in office monitor and watched her for a little while. After about 15 minutes or so my doctor had the nurse send me over to Labor and Delivery at the hospital for extended monitoring. By the time I got to L&D the baby’s heart rate was back down where it needed to be but my Blood Pressure was elevated. I normally have blood pressure in the 120/ 50-70 range. My blood pressure at one point was 161/ 95. Needless to say the doctor was a little concerned and ordered a 24 hour urine collection. I had to stay the night at the hospital. The baby’s heart rate continued to look good and her ultrasound was very good also. She has a very strong heart and they associated the accelerated heart rate with her activity. (This was all yesterday.) My Doctor then left to go on vacation today. She needs a vacation, she’s over worked. The nurse checked me and I was still at 2 cm and she could feel the top of Annika’s head.

Today, I met a new doctor. He checked everything and I am still at 2 cm. Her head is still very low. I finished the 24 hour urine collection and they took it to the lab. I did have some spillage of protein into my urine but nothing too serious. They did another ultrasound on her this morning and she is estimated to weigh 8 pounds and 14 ozs. Needless to say there isn’t anything wrong with her weight. My blood pressure is still up a little bit; it was 147/81 when I left the hospital. Thursday I go to see the doctor that I saw this morning, he seemed very nice and he’s covering for my doctor while she’s on vacation. I have to do another 24 hour urine collection on Sunday (Guess need to mark it so no one thanks it's apple cider since it has to be in the fridge. ) then take it in to L&D on Monday. Monday I have a Non Stress Test that has to be done at the hospital. This is all pending that she does not make her appearance before then. I am hoping and praying hard that she will. If she does not come on out on her own then we have to go to the hospital at midnight Tuesday night (Actually Wednesday morning) to be induced.

So just pretty much wanted to give everyone the run down. Mommy and baby are fine. Right now is just the famous waiting game.

Looks like everyone has been busy posting. I am exhausted. That stupid BP cup tightening up every hour on the hour. DH just made me dinner and it's ready. I'm going to go eat then I'm going to

If you get a headache or see spots go back to the hospital! Tay's heart rate jumped to 210-225 and my blood pressure hit 180/100 at one point so please don't take it lightly if you start feeling bad! and lots of prayers your way! Can't wait to meet Annika!

holley79 replied: I am glad to be home also. I just wish that I had a baby to show for the scare. I am glad though not to have doctors that just jump the gun (so to say) and perform inductions without looking at everything. A friend of mine had that happen to her and she was none too happy.

So sometime between today and next Wednesday we will finally have Annika home with us. I am looking forward to it.
