Home from the hospital - he got worse

MichaelsMommy wrote: Well we've been to hell and back. Turns out he didn't have RSV
but Pneumonia sad.gif He was not getting any better so they admitted
us on Sat and we got home today finally. After rounds of fluid
via IV, antibiotics, steroids, antibiotics and breathing treatments he
was finally 24 hours without fever. His oxygen levels got back up
to 95 so they let us come home today. We still have to do
breathing treatments every 3 hours, but he's very happy to be home.
Through it all he lost a pound and 7oz - but he's finally eating better
and gettins some solid sleep.

Here's some pics from our journey..

The brace on his arm was to protect the IV. His face looks just terrible
today, when they took the tape off it really did a number on him.

I'm sick too - it never fails.. I have not been able to get decent sleep
today because of cold meds hopping me up - hopefully i can catch up
on some tonight. Dh has been a godsend in all of this - he helped me
so much.

Thanks for all the well wishes - they worked.

MichaelsMommy replied: Hey thanks for asking
He's better - but not 100%. Not eating well - like half of what he used to.
His spirits are up. He's still getting breathing treatments every 3 hours
and antibiotics 2x a day at home. We go for a recheck tomorrow.
No fever since the hospital - so thats a good thing.

lovemyboy replied: My son is going through the same thing. We caught the pneumonia in the early stages so we didn't have to be in the hospital (thankfully) He's on a nebulizer with albuterol sulfate in it every 4 hours. He's also on prednislone & zithromax.

It's NOT fun! I'm glad your son is feeling better. biggrin.gif
