(I think it is because he is kind of short 5"6' and I am only 5"0') She set us up to meet up at a pool where her bf was a lifeguard. We all went...My friend, her bf, me and Scott. We got to talking and then we met up later to see a movie. The funny thing is my friend and her BF didn't last and she is now married to someone else and has 2 kids. We still see her all of the time but her BF at the time, Scotts buddy, we never see anymore.

paradisemommy replied: i met keoki up at the unit when i joined the Air National Guard. joining is kinda a long process and you go to the unit in your civies before you are sent out to boot camp and tech school. he was the first person that came up to me and talked to me and introduced himself. i was instantly attracted to him...

redchief replied: I met my wife in high school. She was attracted to me while I was doing a class project (we were not in the same class, mine and hers were in the same classroom at this time). She was studying baking and discussed how she thought I was cute with a friend. The friend suggested she introduce herself. She didn't have the guts. So the solution? Throw cookie dough at me so that I'd notice her.

Well it worked and southern NJ has never been the same since.

favre4fan replied: I actually work in dallas, at preston and NWhwy. I live in Flower Mound. Close enough to Dallas. The fox and hound we met at is the one on midway. I know they have several of them now but I think that was the first one.

I met him my first day there which happened to be Valentine's Day February 14, 1996 He was the administrative asst. It was love at first sight, no not really, but we did develop a crush awfully quick. Our first date was on Feb 20.

favre4fan replied: I know where Mckinney is I don't think I have been there, closest I have been I have a friend that lives in Frisco and the ex husband lives in Allen so i go there quite often. I think i went in the one in Lewisville maybe once or twice but flower mound is right next to lewisville.

3xsthefun replied: Don't laugh. My husband and I met first time around March of 1998 because he was plan on buying my parents house. He ended up buying it in April in 98'. We started talking to each other July 25th 1998 and got serious October 1998.

Yeah I now it seems weird that I now own the house I grew up in. It is just weird how everything ended up. I am glad we are here though. I don't live but probably 2 minutes from my grandma if I walk, not that much really.

mama3x replied: DH and I met when a classmate of mine needed people to bowl on his team. I started on the team first and DH came along through another team member a bit later.

Sparks didn't fly then, we were both with someone else. We were best friends though. But when things went sour with the guy I was with in 1999 and the girl DH was pursuing pretty much screwed him over soon after, well what can I say? It's all history now. This is the first time in my life that things went sour for both me and the guy I was interested in at the same time. Usually timing is so bad!

We've been together officially for almost 5 yrs, married for 2-1/2 yrs, with unexpected baby #2 (#3 for me) on the way.

kimberley replied: DH and i met at the bar i worked in. he came in with a big group one week. i remember him as the guy drinking Canadian with the cute smile and the eyebrow ring. then they were back the next week and if i saw him coming near the bar, i had a canadian ready and waiting for him with a smile of course he was my eye candy for the night he ended up coming in on a slow night after that because he had hurt himself at work, so him and a friend came to the bar. i chatted with them most of the night (more like flirted with him ) and then when he went to the washroom, his friend asked if i would play a joke on him and come on strong like i really liked him. it was a slow night, i was bored, Jamie was hot... so i thought, why not?! if he rejects me, i just play it off as his friend's joke. i turned it up a few notches and he gave me his number lol. i thought of calling him but i dunno... single mom with two little boys, and he was obviously younger than me... i wasn't sure. he came in the following night and asked me to meet him for breakfast after i got off. i almost didn't go but am glad now i did we have been inseparable since then i love him

Funny you say that it was the exact same way for me. It took awhile for Iains parents to get used to the idea of their son dating someone with 2 children. iains dad at our wedding gave a speech and said its not often that u get 2 instant grandsons and gosh he made me cry!! Iain loves the boys so much now..

My DH finished HS in Lewisville (Fighting Farmers) we met at Church in Denton, TX when I was going to Texas Woman's Univ and he was going to the Univ of North Texas.

My DH's parents lived in Carrolton when we got married and then moved to Denison and we drove to McKinney every time we were there to go to Best Buy (it was the closest one).

We were friends in school..lived down the road from each other....partied together...almost hooked up once...finally decided we wanted to be together two months after we graduated highschool.

We had been flirting for months. I had pathetically flirted (very embarassing, lol) and eventually one night we all got drunk and so he put me in bed (I was living with his cousin at the time---friends). I babbled to him that I loved him and tried to "jump" him. He was polite...left but came back later after I passed out and slept beside me the rest of the night.

lsjulee replied: I was in a miserable relationship with my study group mate in High School. I guess one of my buddies had sensed that. So she introduced this cute boy she met at the school pool. He was a part time lifeguard there. A student in the school too doing Mechanic. We didn't quite hit it off immediately. Both of us were very neutral. He just broken off with his GF and I still couldn't put a stop to my relationship with BF. Until we went out on a group date to the movies. He was very caring, making sure I was alright. He made sure I took my medicine cos I was having asthmatic cough. Guess he started to get a liking of me then. It was his care and concern that I got over the previous bad relationship and fell in love with him.

Know what? He was one of the popular boys in school. So you sure can imagine what kind of nasty looks I got from other girls then. I was just a plain Jane, and the other girls couldn't get over what he has seen in me. Passing rude and nasty remarks to me. No prob. Cos he's still my lovey dovey and father of my two children.

I was actually dancing with another guy (God I was such a tease in the bars) when he walked up and said If I give you my phone number will you call me and I said yes I wil and he said seriously don't take it if you're not gonna call, that's false hope!!!! I said yes I will I promise. I called him the next day..come to find out me and him grew up only a few blocks away from each other and he knew my Best Friend from the neighborhood but she never mentioned him to me! We ended up knowing so many of the same people but never once had met each other! It was weird but it was fate...3 days after talking on the phone I stayed the night at his house, I haven't spend a night from him since then!!!! I love him so much!!!!!

that is weird but get this I lived in the apartment next to Jeremiahs best friend we were RIGHT next to each other and NEVER saw each other, also I did a LOT of plays and his house is right accross from the place where the plays and rehearsals are held! I love how fate works!

I had been dating a man named Kurt, ( my now husband cousin) It wasn't serious, we were just dating , never slept together or anything. Kurt invited me fishing with my kids, on his uncles pong. I went. It was Randy's dad pond on there land.

He was in the house when we pulled up, he came outside to see what kind of girl Kurt had landed, b/c his dad had came in the house and made a comment about the girl out a the pond, so he came and was fishing with us.

The first time I saw him, I thought man ...that would work. But I was nice, He was interested in me too you could tell. And he told me before he left that I had the prettiest eyes he had every seen.

I asked who he was, Kurt said my cousin and he is married. I thought that figures.
Always happens that way. That was my last date with Kurt, I figured if someone else could turn my head so fast no need in wasting his time. I had two jobs at that time, I was a divorced single parent mom, so when my kids went to there dads I would work at a local fast food place for extra money. Out of the blue Randy started coming in there daily. Flirting, tipping being extra nice, I liked the attention. He would say things like what are you doing this weekend, I would say sitting at home no money. And after I would go outside and find money in my truck sit with a note that said, treat yourself you work to hard. Roses delivered with no card etc.

So I finally broke down and told him, I know you aren't happily married, and I am sorry but I am a better person than to have an affair, you deserve more, she deserves more and so do I. I didn't see him for along time. I moved my kids and to a place called Sherman Texas, I had a friend who lived there and I wanted a new start. We lived there for a bout a year and a half. I came home from work one day with a message from Randy on my phone, he said I am in Texas here is my motel room number please call. So, I did. He said I have been divorced for a year. I have been looking everywhere for you. Finally tracked down your dad, and he told me where you were, please come home. I did. We never spent a day apart since. We have had hard times, his family doesn't like me, think I caused the divorce since I all the way in Texas. But God was good to me when I found him. And I did the right thing by not having the affair in the first place. It shows us what we are both made off.

I was coaching the Debate team at the school where I was teaching. The president of the league lost his dad, so that's why I went to the wake. The president of the league was also Peter's department chairman, so that's why he was there. Lots of teachers from the two schools know each other, so we were in one group, talking. At about 9pm (on a Friday night) someone suggested going out for a drink, but Peter and I were the only two who could go (so I guess it was one of us who made the suggestion, but I honestly don't remember)

And the rest is history.....

We were in track together and always had to ride to track meets together on the bus so we became really good friends and after about a month he had to move from Arkansas to California because his dad works for Wal-Mart. But I guess he and his 3 sisters begged to move back to AR b/c they missed all of their frinds so 7 months later he showed back up on Halloween of 2000 and we have been together ever since!

We met at a gas station and said if we didn't like each other, we'd just leave. I wasn't usually so trusting of guys I met online, thankfully he was a good one.

I was with 2 girlfriends, and he was with another guy and a couple of girls. They sat near our table, started talking, sharing wine and food, and I kept nudging my friend to take his number. She handed him her card at the end of the evening, and I handed mine to his friend (we were talking business, no interest there). Well, DH called me instead of my friend, and we went out. My friend was so livid that I went out with him that she broke off our friendship?!? Can you believe that? She even boycotted the wedding!

We have now been married 5 1/2 years!

Boys r us replied: Well, I was supposed to go out with some girls from work for my birthday, however, I had to go to dinner with my parents first. So I went to dinner, after dinner, I called the girls and we made plans to meet at a bar downtown, just so happens my best friend was the manager of this bar. So, I got there..my friends weren't there yet and my best friend and I were talking and she gave me a shooter to do, well she was trying to talk to me, but I couldn't look at her b/c I couldn't quit staring at this INCREDIBLY HOT guy sitting at one of the tables!
Grace(my friend) was like WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT? and I said, ONLY THE HOTTEST MAN I'VE EVER LAID EYES ONE!

So then my cell phone rang and b/c it was so noisy in the bar, I walked outside to talk. It was one of the girls who was supposed to meet me for my birthday night out. Well, turns out, one of the other girls who was riding with her..her baby got sick and she had to go home, so they couldn't meet me! I was so sad..it was my birthday and now I didn't have any plans! So, I hung the phone up and just as I was getting ready to turn around and walk back inside, I heard someone screaming my name, I turned around and it was a girl named Lori who I had been very close to in high school, but hadn't seen in a couple of years. She gave me a hug and asked me what I was doing, I told her the whole story about how I was getting stood up on my b-day and she said, well come back inside and hang out with me and my boyfriend and a couple of other friends. So I did..well low and behold, upon following her back to her table, she sat down at the table with the HOTTIE!!!! It was Rick..and well, what can I say, he immedietely fell in love with me and we've been together ever since!
