How do I get pen off...

MoonMama wrote: DH who I have told more times then I can count not to use our nice pillows as lap tables, did it again. He used one of the BRAND NEW throw pillows I just bought for our bed as on his lap. I had set them on the couch not even 10 minutes before for a few minutes while I made up the bed, when I hear "honey your going to be mad". dry.gif Great! He got red gel pen on the new pillow and I can't get it out, what do I use? mad.gif They are olive green and I think they will stain pretty easy with some cleaners. They weren't cheap so I don't want to have to buy a new one. Its not a lot but enough to REALLY bug me. Any ideas? sad.gif

This is not a good pic because I took it on my phone really quick but you get the idea.

Momof3inMe replied: Try hairspray. I try to rub it in with my finger nail. HTH

MoonMama replied: I thought of hairspray but I'm afraid it will leave a residue stain or something? unsure.gif

Twelve Volt Man replied: Try turning the pillow over. smile.gif

LOL funny thing is, it's what I had to do with one of my couch couhsions that Anthony got black perm marker on. dry.gif

Maybe just try dish soap, and a little elbow grease. Gel pen isn't permanent, so it should come off fairly easy.

MoonMama replied: Thanks Marie, that got it off. groupwave.gif

Twelve Volt Man replied: I still think my advice was the best. It was absolutely foolproof.

Cece00 replied: In the future- rubbing alcohol will work to get ink off of fabrics. It doesnt leave a residue.

Boo&BugsMom replied: It's white so you could use diluted bleach and water solution. I've done that on off-white things and as long as it's a bleach and water mixture...not straight bleach...it wont discolor the fabric.

TheOaf66 replied: For some reason Jennie doesn't go for your solutions either Twelve Volt Man, I on the other hand think they are stellar and work fine.

Twelve Volt Man replied:
I appreciate it. We guys gotta stick together!

TheOaf66 replied:
absolutely thumb.gif

it sounds like when you see a spot on your carpet...what do you do? I suggested putting a throw rug over it or move the couch...didn't work.

Boo&BugsMom replied:
"Out of sight out, of mind," doesn't work for most woman deary!

TheOaf66 replied:
that is what makes women so complex, just can't do things the easy way laugh.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied:
Easy does not make it right. tongue.gif You want me to start doing things the easy way.........then you can make your own dinner when you get home cause I'm going to take the easy way like you are suggesting! laugh.gif tongue.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: My first thought was like the guys suggestion, simply turn it over. wink.gif
Glad you got it out. thumb.gif

TheOaf66 replied:
ok what pizza place am I calling laugh.gif

MoonMama replied:
