maliksmommy replied: I tried to do that and that is where it said my file couldn't be used. I am trying to download a picture that I have saved in my documents.

TLCDad replied: Hi! wavey.gif Welcome to Parenting Club!

If you need help getting your avatar/pic added... feel free to email me at tlcdad@parentingclub.com and I will crop the image and get it upload to your account asap.

TLCDad replied:
Do you know the extension of the file your trying to upload? Is it .jpg? It might be that its too big (file size wise). Go ahead and email me the pic... I'll get it up there for ya.

maliksmommy replied: Thank you very much, the email is on it's way biggrin.gif

Joannerobinm replied: While we're asking for hints....how do you use the Quote feature? do I cut and paste after I click on the quote button... unsure.gif not to sure but I think its a cool feature.

maliksmommy replied: What is the max size a picture can be?

TLCDad replied:
No problem... Glad to help. Your new pic/avatar is now ready and should be on all yours posts now.

Thanks!

TLCDad replied:
For avatars its must be under 32KB in size. Also recommend to crop and resize image so that it is 100x100 pixels. I usually do this for people once they upload their avatar so it does not look like it was stretched, etc. wink.gif

Very cute baby you have!

Hillbilly Housewife replied: ?!?! this is what it gives me....but on MY screen, the pic is barely bigger than my thumb nail!!!!!

TLCDad replied:
The pic you just uploaed looks fine here. Or was that the pic you are talking about? You can upload large pics up to 50KB as attachments, its only limited to 100x100 pixels in the avatars.

Joannerobinm replied:
just seeing if I did this right...excuse my learning in public please rolleyes.gif

TLCDad replied:
Nope no need to cut and paste if you use the "quote" icon/button. Only need to cut and paste if you want to quote a line then type something then quote another line, etc.. If so, then you need to cut and paste, highlight the text and use the quote button in the editor.

You can also use "guided mode" in the editor and it will bring up a requester asking for the text to quote.... same goes for all editor buttons in guided mode.

MommyToAshley replied: There are three ways to use the quote...

1. To quote the entire message, use the quote icon on the top right hand side of the message you want to quote.

2. To quote a portion of the message or a line, using guided mode:
Highlight and then copy the line that you want to quote. Click on the quote button and a pop up screen will appear. Paste the text you copied in the pop up window and hit ok

3. To quote a portrion of the message or a line, using normal mode:
Highlight and then copy the line that you want to quote. Click on the quote button. Paste the text you copied, and then click the quote button again to end the tag.
