How do you get rid of that baby itch

I keep on saying that I think I am done and that DH and I should have that taken care of with the big "V" but for some reason deep down inside I think I want to have another one. My kids can drive me insane but I still feel that baby itch. How do you know when you are done and done for good? Even if you say you are done do you still get that baby itch? Is this just a phase that will pass? Help me!!!!

kimberley replied: haha good question!!! after a rough pg with Jade, i told DH i don't want anymore and within 6 mos i have gotten the itch. go play with other people's babies to help make it go away. ask some new moms how much sleep they are getting and how useless a DH can become when you really need him. my cure for the itch is the REAL possibility of being pg.

kimberley replied: lol no, i haven't tested yet. i think it is too soon to test unless i go get my blood drawn which i have absolutely no time for these days i almost don't want to know the way things have been going around here. another baby just isn't in the budget but we will make do if the need arises

A&A'smommy replied: Oh I sooo know that feeling I have been having it since I had my baby (she is five months old) and i think most of that is I didnt have a good birth or get to nurse her. But I also miss being pg I LOVED being pregnant! I just keep my niece and nephew lol and that gets rid of it for a day or two I'm sorry I hope you get your feelings worked out soon! (((HUGS)))

Dh...he decided instead of waiting till shes 4..to only wait till 2. Which is fine with me,,,Im ready. I just thought it was funny cause he got the itch before me...or at least said something first.

Kaitlin'smom replied: I dunno, I dont have the itch but DH did say he would like to have another in a few years......... I told him great you have it cause I am not going to. I guess it depends on the person and how many kids you really wanted (not what is pratical). I would love to hold another baby but I dont want the responsibility of one, good thing my sister is going to start trying after the wedding so when she has one I can hold hers and give it back when I am done

Elle replied: Well, I've always known that I wanted 5 kids, so I won't stop till I get there (well, maybe after the twins are born it turns out that I want more kids, but I don't think so). I agree with Mommy2Ashley, the only cure is to have another one *lol*

jem0622 replied: I'm in the mindset right now where if we get pregnant and my pregnancy is successful then it will be our last. And if the pregnancy results in a loss then it will also be our last because my heart couldn't take that again.

I actually think that our oldest, DS Nathan (4), would be better off if he had one more simply because he is in a mode where it is 'him against brother' and it drives me nuts! At least with another one he would shift his way of thinking (I hope!)
