How early is too early to decorate - for halloween?

PrairieMom replied: you absolutely may not decorate for any holiday before the start of the month containing said holiday.
as dictated to my by my dear and loving DH. That includes wearing any holiday attire as well.
5littleladies replied: I agree with this-almost. Christmas starts in our house the day after Thanksgiving. We do have trouble makers though who are pushing the Christmas music already!
Kaitlin'smom replied: I have seen a few houses already with stuff up, I have some fall things out left over from a 80th b-day party over the weekend....but I wont get more out/down till at least october.
grandma replied: I agree about not decorating until the holiday month...good rule.
DillsMommy replied: I agree too!
Although some stores already have Christmas stuff out!
Calimama replied: I'd wait until October 1st too. My neighbor put bats in their windows so now Bella is scared to walk past their house.
lisar replied: I agree. Atleast wait till the the start of the said month.
grandma replied: I know, but isn't that crazy. We still have Halloween and Thanksgiving to celebrate. I don't think they should have Christmas stuff out until after Thanksgiving, it's too much pressure...lol
Crystalina replied: I must must MUST have my tree and house decorated for Christmas before Thanksgiving or it just doesn't feel like Thanksgiving to me.
As for Halloween. I already have our huge lighted pumpkin up in the mud-room but so far that's about it. We live so far out and don't get much company anyway that if I just left the decorations up all year nobody would ever know.
CantWait replied: I agree, a month ahead.
danahas4monkeys replied: my neighbor decorated full out every inch of her house lol 3 weeks ago i say knock yourself out!
AlexsPajamaMama replied: I got out some Fall decorations yesterday...Alex asked when can we put up the Halloween stuff and I told him when it's October. To me its a little early still, but it is getting to be the end of September so go for it if ya want to!!
HuskerMom replied: I saw some houses around here already decorated a few weeks ago. I say go for it.
Boo&BugsMom replied: Ditto here!
PrairieMom replied: I like Christmas music all year round. My argument is "there is never a wrong time to sing about Jesus. " DH says I should have been a lawyer.
5littleladies replied: Lol-Well I guess I can't argue with that, but I'm not so sure about stuff like "All I want for Christmas is you".
