How long does your child - .........
moped wrote: Play around in bed at night before falling asleep..........suddenly Jack has decided to play around for over an hour!!!!!!!!
WHY?
MommyToAshley replied: For Ashley, it used to depend on how tired she was. It could be anywhere from a few minutes to over an hour. But, lately it has been pushing the hour mark. The other day, she "read" books to her Care Bears for 90 minutes!
Josie83 replied: She goes straigh to sleep when we put her in bed xx
ediep replied: I usually sit with him until he is setteled enough to fall asleep, it is anywhere from 10 minutes to about 25 minutes.
DansMom replied: 5 to 20 minutes... he doesn't nap during the day though.
luvbug00 replied: Uhh I hate that! Mya when younger and without tv. Played arroung for 30 min at the least! Now even I had to get a tv in her room because i was tired of going upstairs every five min. When she was younger it was cuddling but as she got older She was moving and talking so I put the tv in her room and even now she just watches herself to sleep. Which Jack is a little young for but we also did soft music and she liked it and that worked too. ( might I reccomend disney lulabyes!)
coasterqueen replied: It's becoming more and more of a fight on a daily basis. Grrrr....but it goes from just a few minutes to 1.5 hours. We do our nighttime routine then she watches a show until she falls asleep (like Shrek or Lady and the Tramp or something like that). Well she usually comes in and tells me it's over, which means she's STILL awake. Then I have to turn it off and demand that she closes her eyes immediately and goes to sleep. We've tried it without the show and she still does the same thing. My child is just an ANIMAL, though. She could go all night without sleep and still be bouncing off the walls. No joke! A couple of weeks ago we stayed in hotel with SIL and her kids. Kylie wanted to stay the night with them and I said sure. At 2 am my SIL bangs on our door and said her kids were all asleep but Kylie would NOT go to sleep and was making too much ruckus. That's my booga!
stanleygirl replied: Kieran started doing that around Jack's age too, and in the morning too, he would sit and play for an hour before making any noise. I have a stock of books, a few quiet toys, and his 'learn through music' set up in his room for him to entertain himself and that seems to work really well for us now. But of course he has phases where he puts up more of a fight with bedtime, but I just shut the door and let him get himself to sleep.
Kaitlin'smom replied: she usually does not once I kiss and hug her night (after her routine) she goes to sleep, only on occasion has she played berfore going to sleep. I was so worried that she woudl just get up and play once in a toddler bed but she has proven me wrong its only recently has she even got out of bed and at her door in the morings on the weekends, she would usually waite for me to come in bore she even gets up.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Maddie is a lot like Kylie. She will not go to sleep. We've tried everything. She won't play in her room until she goes to sleep, either. She is a PILL at bedtime and fights it for hours. EThan goes to sleep immediately. He loves his bed.
Jamison'smama replied: Wow, Jamison and K would have a great slumber party--sounds exactly like our bedtime routine--except to add that we will hear Jama sneak down the stairs and say---"I wanna snuggle with you"--trying to pull our heart strings but that stopped working about the 3rd time.
coasterqueen replied: LOL. I like that word "PILL". That will make me giggle the next time she's driving me batty.
coasterqueen replied: LOL. Sounds like there's a few of us that could have one big slumber party.
