Cam's our only child for now. When we got married, we thought we would want 5 children. Since then, we've changed our minds! Justin wants one more, but I would like to have 3 total. He has a weird thing with odd numbers, so he said 2 or 4 kids. Time will tell, and it depends on what the Lord blesses us with. But 4 is the limit. I just want to be done having children before I'm 30. (6 more years)

anyone know a way to make twins more possible?? (i'm not really trying right now.. but for future references...)

That's the reason I haven't had anymore. I'm 31 yrs old and I'm thinking I'm getting too old. DH wants as many as we "just happen" to have but I'm a little more practical. Not to mention until my butt shrinks up a bit...no babies. I wouldn't mind having another one but since I have one of each I'd hate for one of them not to have a sister or brother.

Your chances of having twins are higher if you have twins on the mothers side, if you're over 40, if you're on the pill or just come off in the past 3 months, if you take a folic acid supplement every day, if you're south african, if it's your 3rd child or more, if you eat yams and oysters every day....

Cece00 replied: I have 3 kids- ages 4, 3 and 5 months. I'm also almost 15 wks pregnant. DH has a girl who does not live with us. She's like a little older than 2 I think.

I think this is it for us. We discussed more after this...but I am not all that interested in it. This fall my oldest will go to school, my middle one might be accepted into a preschool to help with his speech issues (we'll find out in June/July). So I will be home with 2 kids, maybe 3. Then, about a year or year and 1/2 later, I would like to return to working, at least part time. Within 2 yrs I will go back to work full time & get a nanny for my children...

If we had another baby, things would just be too hard. It would be more expense for a nanny, more expense overall for children, hard on me, we'd have less time with the kids.

Its already stretching DH's $$ to support me and our 3 (almost 4) children, although I do get support from my boy's dad (my hubby isnt their biodad) and we also pay support for his other kid. We're comfortable, and things will be much better off once I go to work. So I dont really want to rock the boat by adding another child into the mix. 4 @ home is enough for us!

JoyToTheWorld replied: I have one 7 year old and have had 6 miscarriages since my son was born in 1998. After many failed infertility treatments and no luck, we have decided to adopt. We are hoping to adopt a child from a 14 year old girl that is a friend of a friend, she is 11 weeks pregnant now but she has not accepted our offer as of yet. I know that sounds cold (our offer) but after so many disappointments I try not to get to attached or excited about any one idea or plan.

BAC'sMom replied: When DH and I got married DH wanted 3 I wanted zero. After I had a miscarriage with our first, I decided to take what you can get.

So DH got his wish and I have never been happier, but three's a charm!
