How many diapers do you use a day?

MomToMany wrote: I was just wondering how many diapers you go through in a day.

MomToMany replied: We use 10+ with 2 in diapers. My girls are changed every 1.5-2 hours or so at the very most. Kayla is changed more often since she's still pooping a lot.

JenniferAllen replied: molly, when does that change? the changing every 2 hours. it seems like matt goes through so many; i get tired of lifting his butt in the air all day. rolling_smile.gif

MomToMany replied: Well, it seems like when babies are older, people change them less often.

LOL, at the butt thing!

jolene555 replied: georgia started using less diapers when she ate at regular times - about the same time i weaned her - lol. now she does all her major business in the am, and then she does the less important business in the early afternoon. this child is so regular it scares me. she's only 9 months, but one of these days i am going to strip her down and put her on the potty at her designated time and see what happens - lol.

A&A'smommy replied: I voted 8 but usually its inbetween 6-8 although it has been more!

Kaitlin'smom replied: depends on the day but usually 5-6 now that she is starting to potty train, she is getting pee thing down, next will be the poo

alice&arik replied: I voted less than 3. Now that Arik is potty-trained, we only use one at naptime and at nightime. So that is 2? a day. rolling_smile.gif It is pretty nice, I don't even have to tell him to go, he just runs in there on his own. But when we get home from somewhere, I have to remind him to go. And today I just took back his huge pack of diapers that I bought 2 weeks ago and havn't opened, but I did buy a small pack of generic. rolleyes.gif

DansMom replied: Daniel doesn't do number 2 more than once a day usually, and that is often when I'm home. I don't think DH always remembers to change the diaper more than once unless there is a poop that forces him to do so. So I put down 4 as a conservative estimate, although it might be more like 5 or 6 some days. We're just starting to potty train.

About the frequency question---when they move to solids, it seems like they slow down on the BM's and are more regular.

ediep replied: I think Jason gets changed about 5-6 times a day.

mama3x replied: I voted for 6 but it can vary! If DD poops twice as usual, 6 is about right but once in awhile she'll do it 3/4 times and then who knows, we get close to 10!

Jordon and Lisa replied: Our newborn poops about 4 to 6 times, and has many wet diapers, so we are between 9 and 13 a day! wacko.gif But, at least we know he's getting the milk he needs!

coasterqueen replied: I really have no idea. dunno.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Ashley doesn't wear diapers any more, she is doing really well with potty training and stays dry most of the day.

When she was an infant, I would have voted 10+. I changed her every 1.5 -2 hours. But, it seemed like she always had to have a clean diaper to poo in. It never failed, as soon as we would change her, she would have a bm. LOL.

When she got older, I still changed her about every two hours. I errored on the side of caution when it came to wet diapers and never let her sit in a wet or poopy diaper. That's probably why she started taking her diapers off when she could, she didn't like the wet feel. smile.gif

3xsthefun replied: I think around 6 diapers maybe 1 or 2 more. I think it just depends how much she poops.

darrylswifeskylersmom replied: skyler is almost 1 and i use about 5-6 a day!!!

loveydad replied: Henry, Vincent, Kel, none- Tracy goes through 1-2 pullups a day, Nicky goes through about 4-5 diapers a day, Carter goes through about 6 and Clara about 5-6. Peter goes through about 7-8 per day. Andriana goes through about 7 per day too. We buy jumbo size diapers thats for sure!
