How often - Chocolate Milk

moped wrote: Just curious, Jack loves it and he has only had it twice in his life.................how often do you give your kids C. Milk?

mammag replied: It's probably not good but that is all Keegan will drink milk wise....

I can't get him to drink reg. milk and since he's so skinny I just go ahead and give him Choc. milk. His doctor said it was fine.

AlexsPajamaMama replied: I have heard that its better for them to drink chocolate milk than no milk at all.

Alex really likes chocolate milk too. We don't give it to him on a regular basis. It started with MIL giving it to him as a treat when we visit on Saturdays, so we try to stick to him only having it then. Last night, we went out for dinner and I ordered him a chocolate milk. Usually I just get him a water if we eat out or bring him a cup from home.

luvbug00 replied: Every day. it's the ONLY kind of milk Mya will drink.

coasterqueen replied: Usually only when we are out at a restaurant and she chooses it. If she asks me to make it at home I will, but I won't literally buy chocolate milk because I'm a feign when it comes to that stuff and well can we say oink, oink? blush.gif tongue.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: well every Thursday when the girls go to my father's house they get fruit and soy chococate milk. And every day they go to my mother's house during the week, so at one time 2days a week, and now it will be a total of 4 times a week. And then my mother will give us some here at the house, so just about every day. It is the soy chocolate milk that we give to them. Or Promised Land (which is the best ever, IMO). They have some here now, that we have forgotten about since Thurs night.

boyohboyohboy replied: caleb drinks choc. milk only when we are out at rest.
but I use the carnation instant break. drink mix each morning with him
he gets the extra vit. then and it makes the milk taste better....it does come in choc. although we use french vanilla.
I would use choc each day if it was all he liked.

3xsthefun replied: Just about every day. That is only way the girls will drink milk anymore.

MommyToAshley replied: Ashley was never a fan of milk so we tried chocolate milk and strawberry milk one day... and now she drinks it every day. At least she drinks milk. She prefers the strawberry over chocolate though. Probably not the best for her, but better than no milk at all.

luvmykids replied: They get it whenever they want it, probably about 4 or 5 times a week. I use Ovaltine instead of the choc syrup or powder though, it's a little more nutritious.

b&bsmom replied: I give my kids a cup in the morning and a cup at night. One drinks choc and one drinks strawberry milk. They will drink white if they have to but rather have the other. I see no problem with it, it is still milk and still good for them. JMO

Our Lil' Family replied: We've tried giving Thomas Chocolate milk a couple of times but he doesn't seem to like it. He just likes his old fashioned plain milk! Guess that's a good thing!

Heather77 replied: My kids have it a couple times a week. I don't have any limit as to how much they can have though.

My3LilMonkeys replied: For Brooke, a few times a week. About half of the times she asks for it.

Madison hasn't tried it yet but since Brooke has started sharing I'm sure it won't be long! biggrin.gif

CantWait replied: Usually only when we go out to eat. Once in a while I'll buy either a jug of it, or a bottle of syrup.

JP&KJMOM replied: Neither one of mine drink regular milk but Karlee does have choc. milk for breakfast everyday and that is the only time she drinks it. JP drank it for awhile but he has turned to water in the am like his momma. smile.gif

TheOaf66 replied: usually if we go out to eat, it is a nice treat, really no less nutritious than white milk but Tanner loves that fact that it is chocolate biggrin.gif

holley79 replied: Well Annika isn't quite old enough yet. emlaugh.gif Trevor (lil boy I use to keep) use to drink two glasses of C milk a day.
