How often do you bathe your Baby?
Kaitlin'smom wrote: Just wondering how often everone bathes the babys.
maliksmommy replied: I used to do just a couple times a week but now we do everyday, especially now that he likes it so much!
booey2 replied: Hi, I try to do it 3-4 times, but sometimes I come home and find that the babysitter has beat me to it. She gets bored some days and puts him in the tub for something to do.
ediep replied: Jason gets a bath everynight after his dinner. Bathtime is part of his bedtime routine. He loves it!!
Kaitlin'smom replied:
probably makes for easier clean up!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: He gets a bath about 2 or 3 times a week. Other nights, I jsut strip him down and pass a warm wet cloth on his body, he giggles like it's the funniest thing!
And only if he gets REALLY dirty, then my babysitter will give him a bath.
Hillbilly Housewife replied:
The NEVER is me. I thought it was funny...so I HAD to do it. 2-3 times a week is my real answer though.... as above...and he's just about 9 months old.
MomToMany replied: We have shifts here; one night the older boys will take their baths, and the next night it will be Ethan & Hannah, unless everyone gets really dirty, then everyone gets a bath that night ! My boys are 9, 8, & 3. Hannah's 13 months old today.
Kaitlin'smom replied:
your silly
mckayleesmom replied: Mckaylee gets a bath usually every night right before her last feeding before going to bed, it helps her sleep better. Its my favorite time cause then you can bundle them up for bed and they smell so cute and then they fall asleep. I only skip when Im just really tired, then I just wipe her down. But the nurses at the hospital told me that you should try to stick to the same schedule with bathing them too.
Mommieto2Girls replied: Madison is 8months and 3weeks . She gets a bath every night since she started crawling. I picked 6-7 times a week.
Roxworld replied: I give Aidan a bath twice a week, and my mom usually gives him one on Saturdays when she has him all day. I also use a washcloth for his face everyday. He doesn't get too dirty yet, but as he gets older, and starts crawling etc....we will definitely start giving him one every night before bed.
supermom replied: It depends on the time of year too - if it's summer and it's hot and sweaty and all of that good stuff, it's usually every night, even a quick one! But in the winter, it's usually no more than every other night.....
If we've been outside, definatley, but just inside hanging out, then not unless he really really needs it!
Kaitlin'smom replied: yeppers, thats what I figured once she is moving around more she will get more, but for now 2-3 times a week is enough. (i spot clean her if needed other wise)
Heather replied: Alison is 10.5 months old. We bathe her every night before bed. We only use soap every other day. And only wash her hair every 3rd day...that way we aren't drying her out. BUT it calms her down and lets her know that is time for bed very shortly. Not to mention she lOVES to play in the bath!!!
MommyToAshley replied: I put 6-7 times too, but she gets a bath every night. For the same reasons as everyone else. She LOVES it, it lets her know it is getting close to bedtime, and she actually needs it. She practically feeds herself at dinner time and she ends up with food all over her including her hair. When she was younger, she only got one every 3 days, but it is every day now.
MamaMartie replied: Hannah is almost 3 weeks old, but doesn't get dirty so I bathe her 2-3 times a week. My first 2 were spitters so they got a bath every day, and #3 was born in July (we didn't have a/c in that house) so he also got a bath every day. When she starts getting dirty or sweating she'll get more baths. I am glad she stays clean b/c she screams like I am killing her during bath time. It is the most stressful 5 minutes of her day.
