How old is too old to get a tattoo? - spinoff of mommymommy's thread

Celestrina wrote: How old were you when you got your tattoo(s)? What would you consider too old?

grapfruit replied: I was 18.

My mom was like 45 when she got her first one rolleyes.gif She might of been a little younger (like 42).

I don't know.

I don't necessarily think there's a "too old", but I think it depends on the circumstances. Like if you're older and you get it for a reason, w/meaning behind it. What's wrong w/that?

lisar replied: My aunt just got one and she is 43.

Kaitlin'smom replied: I was 25ish on the first one 28 when it was updated and got the second one on my 30th b-day, I told no one I was doing it.

my dad says he still wants one and he is 65....now if he gets one thats another story

My2Beauties replied: I wouldn't put an age limit on it. I love tats and I think it's anyone's prerogative to have one nomatter what their age is. I was 18 when I got my first one, I was 19 or 20 with my second. I'm going to get one more within the next year.

Crystalina replied: I think I was 20 when I got my first.

There is no age limit. wink.gif

Brendan's_Mommy replied: I was 18 when I got both of mine...and I don't think there is an age when you're too old happy.gif

ZandersMama replied: my mom got her first tattoo on her 50th birthday

HuskerMom replied: I was 16 when I got my first one and 21 when I got my third one. I don't think you can be too old to get one. I plan on getting a couple more but by the time I get around to it I may be close to 30. rolleyes.gif My mom got her first one when she was around 50. Now she's got 3.

TANNER'S MOM replied: I was 32 or 33 for my first two. I will get more I think. My Dad is 60 and wants one. He said if he could figure out what he wanted that wasn't cheesy on a 60 year old her would. I don't think there's an age limit but I do think you can be too young!

Calimama replied: Um you're never too old IMO. Life's too short to do things by everyone else's standards. wink.gif

ladymr78 replied: I am 30 and I have 6 and plan to get many more. My mom is 61 and just got her second one. I don't think any age is too old. biggrin.gif

Teesa®© replied: I got my first - and only, so far - on Feb. 26, 1990. I was 22.

I'd like to get more, but am having problems deciding on what to get. Since it's permanent, it has to be perfect.

As far as I know, I'm the only one in my whole family who has one.

My Mom didn't get her ears pierced till she was 45 rolling_smile.gif She's 80 now, maybe she's finally ready for a tat? blink.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

danahas4monkeys replied: I got both of mine when I was 31 and will be getting more.

gr33n3y3z replied: I got my first one when I was in my 30's and I will be getting another
I dont think your EVER to old for most things in life this is one of the things your never to old for just as long as your skin isnt saggy and nasty LOL

Teesa®© replied:
I can see it now.............

Two seniors in a retirement complex...

Senior A: Wow! I love that tattoo that you have on your calve!!
Senior B: Thanks! But when I was 20, it was on my butt!

punkeemunkee'smom replied: I got my first (and only so far) when I was 27. I agree with Mel that you can be too young but I don't feel like you can be too old. I wanted to wait until I got something that I would never grow tired of and that nobody else would ever had-I am glad I waited because this one is perfect! wub.gif

Celestrina replied:
user posted image Thanks everyone, now I just have to decide what to get.

jcc64 replied: My dad was close to 60 when he got his first. He went on to get 2 more. I thought it was a little goofy, but to each his own.

Boo&BugsMom replied: Troy just got his first, and he's 33. I think it depends on where it is and what kind. I'd gasp if my mother (50's) got a big one down her leg that said "Hot Mama", but if she got a danty one on her ankle I'd think nothing of it, KWIM? laugh.gif

BAC'sMom replied: I got my first and only one at 29. biggrin.gif

msoulz replied:
