How wonderful!
MomToMany wrote: We have a 55 gallon aquarium. Last night, DH notices the water level was lower. I didn't think anything of it, since it evaporates. Well, this morning the floor is wet by one corner of it. Sure enough, there's a tiny little crack in that corner. We have no idea how that happened.
So now DH will have to take a half-day off of work so we can get a new one. Then we will have to get it all set up ASAP. What a fun day this will be!
gr33n3y3z replied: Oh my I have one also and I hope mine never does that .... But thats a chance you take when you get a glass tank. And when you have an under ground water filteration system thats a pain in the butt getting that to work right also. I hope everything goes trouble free for you both
kimberley replied: oh no! what a PITA! hope you get it figured out fast. good luck!
mammag replied: Hmmmm, maybe I better check mine.... It's rather low and I've been too busy to check it and refill....
Good luck getting it taken care of!
A&A'smommy replied: OMG that sucks!!!

5littleladies replied: Oh that sucks!! The only aquarium in our house is a little bowl that holds our one remaining beta (we used to have 3-2 died ). I'm terrible at keeping fish tanks cleaned.
Good luck with yours!
chloe&tysmommy replied: oh no! What a mess!
hope your day gets better
Mommy2BAK replied: Oh geez, that really stinks. I hope yall can get it all fixed back up soon before it makes a bigger mess!
MomToJade&Jordan replied: Ugh what a pain. I have always wanted a tank that big, but since we are military there is just no sense lugging something like that around. We just have a little 5 gallon one that holds 2 goldfish for Jade. She loves fish so I figured that would be enough. Is there anything you can get to seal that crack up without having to get a whole new tank?
MomToMany replied: We're not sure if the tank is for sure cracked. It might have been the filter overflowing, so we are doing an experiment tonight to see which it is. Ugh, I didn't want to go all the way to Grand Rapids in the evening with all 5 kids with.
So, tomorrow will tell the story. I don't know if you can repair a crack or not.
gr33n3y3z replied: I hope everything is fine in the am
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I hope you were able to fix it trouble free! What a PITA!!
Kirstenmumof3 replied: OH NO! I hope the fishtank transfer went well for you!
MomToMany replied: Well, it looks like it IS a crack. We will go to Rapids tonight and get a new one. That way we have the weekend to set it all up. Hopefully we can get out of the store without any more new fish. The kids LOVE the aquarium. We get lots of compliments when people come over and see it.
It is so odd that we can't see or feel where the water is coming out from. Oh well.
kimberley replied: yikes. sorry to hear. hope you get it done quickly and good luck on the no new fish thing. lol if it were me, i would prolly end up with a bigger tank and a shark or something. i am such a sucker
