How's everyone's w/end?

mysweetpeasWil&Wes wrote: It's a little quiet in here....So what's everyone up to this weekend?

Here's what I'm doing/done. I got up and took a 7:30am Boot Camp class at the gym. Really hard, but felt great! Then came home where DH already had the kids dressed and fed. biggrin.gif Wil even went poop on the potty! Yay! So we got in the car and went for a hike in the forest. It is a gorgeous 79 degrees here! Wil and I collected pine-cones for a centerpiece on my dining room table. Then DH took Wil up to Denver (one hour north) so that someone could look at his car (trying to sell it). Wesley went down for a nap, so I took a loooooooooooong quiet shower, ate lunch alone and now I'm on here. The house is so quiet and I'm CLEAN! happy.gif

I think I'm going to take Wesley to TJMaxx when he gets up...Just to sorta shop but not buy. I love to look at all their home stuff, but I don't really want to spend the money. I can't do a leisurely shop like this with Wil, but Wesley is pretty mellow. When the boys get back, maybe we'll take the kids out somewhere. They are playing movies outside down at the mall tonight. That's my weekend so far!

I think tomorrow we may go to the public pool. thumb.gif

Calimama replied: Not much, STILL playing phone tag with the Red Cross to see if they managed to get to DH or managed to do ANYTHING. dry.gif Bella is redecorating the living room floor with her toys. rolling_smile.gif So I'll probably clean a bit later and take her to the pool to burn off some steam.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied:
Sorry I missed your post...What's going on with your DH? I know he is gone, but I forget where. hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif Many p/t's!

Calimama replied:
Oh he's just in Ft. Irwin.. it's like 8 hours from here? His aunt died yesterday and I'm trying to get the news to him, but it's a complicated process I guess.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied:
Oh gotcha. When you said Red Cross, I was thinking there was an accident or flooding or fire. Sorry about his aunt.

Calimama replied:
Thanks. Nope, they do emergency contact for troops/soldiers no matter where they are. It's a great program.

Anthony275 replied: horrible night last night to start off the weekend. i just want it to end already sad.gif

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I'm working today and tomorrow. I'll probably leave a bit early, it's the "q" word in here. Never say that aloud in a hospital. Aaron is going to a wedding about 70 miles north of here this evening, I'd go, but it starts at 7:30 and by the time we got home it'd be late and work starts at 6am for me tomorrow. So, Logan and I will stay home and go to the Ice Cream Zoofari at the local zoo. It's an all you can eat ice cream social with face painting and bounce houses and stuff and of course the animals. Best of all, it only costs $6 for the both of us. Logan should have a blast.

luvbug00 replied: i went to a stuiped party last night. Drove 1.5 hors to get there ( middleton WV) and then drove back an at 3 got home at 4:30 am. regret that one dry.gif the roads are sooo scary too!

Bellasmommy10 I'm sorry about DH aunt hug.gif

luvmykids replied: Rae and Kelly, both sound like great weekends! (Other than work Kelly)
Bellasmommy and Furries, I'm sorry yours have been tough hug.gif

Not much happening around here, ran a bunch of errands ALONE biggrin.gif Hit the jackpot at the grocery store, one of our chains is going out of business and I got over $100 worth of food for $42 thumb.gif That always puts me in a good mood rolling_smile.gif

The kids and I are going to straighten up the house for a little bit then go for a swim.

Tomorrow is church and then we're having lunch with some friends of mine who are visiting from out of town.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: We had fun. It had started to cool off a little, so mid-80s rather than 90s. Logan loved the ducks and swans, the petting zoo, and the bighorn sheep. Our little zoo is almost all animals that are indigenous to the area. Other than peacocks, everything else can be found in the wild within a 200 mile radius of us. There are bears, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, deer, buffalo, geese, ducks, turkeys. The bear exhibits were kind of disappointing. They are in the process of rebuilding larger exhibits with more natural habitats, but currently they are depressingly small and rather boring. Hopefully funding will come through fast.
Logan got a "Zoo Buddies" t-shirt and a small set of stuffed animals. And he ate 3 ice cream cones. My friend Tracy met us there and we had a really nice time talking and walking. We stayed for about 2 hours, I was beat, but happy.

A&A'smommy replied: Sounds like your having a very relaxing w/e Rae!!! thumb.gif

Uhhh well Friday a friend of mines grandmother died (she raised her) and so I went to see her and then yesterday I took her a cake, and then when to a bachlorette party at red lobster (a hour away) came home stayed up WAY too late, got up WAY too early and today I'm going to a funeral sooo not really relaxing especially since I'm WAY tired right now wink.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied:
I was going to ask how it went but you beat me to it! Sounds like so much fun Kelly. I love when our zoo has special events. Did you guys eat a lot of ice cream?

Sorry for those who had bad weekends. Sounds like lots of funerals and such. sad.gif And bad parties. mad.gif

WTG Monica on the grocery score! thumb.gif

So we ended up making pizza last night and a friend stopped by. We had a glass of wine and caught up. Today, DH made breakfast and then we "tried" to take the kids to the pool. Got there (all packed with picnic and towels) and it was closed for the season. growl.gif YESTERDAY was the last day. So we ended up going to a park downtown that has a fountain you can play in. Then I made turkey (thanksgiving) dinner, gave the kids a bath and DH cleaned up the kitchen. wub.gif That's my weekend in a nutshell.

My3LilMonkeys replied: Sounds like most everyone had good weekends!! Bellasmommy and furries, sorry yours weren't better. hug.gif

Fri. night DH worked and the girls and I went to my SIL's house for dinner, drinks (for me not the girls emlaugh.gif ) and played some cards. Saturday we all went to my sister's boyfriend's parent's (complicated enough? LOL) house. Their grandkids live pretty far away so they love to borrow our kids. Today we hit the flea market, did a little shopping, then DH went to play poker and I cleaned the house while the girls played with all the new cheap toys we found.

Cece00 replied: We were on vacation since last week, it was a blast. We just got back a little while ago. Tommorrow I have to take my son to his PreK testing.
