I FINALLY met my dr.!! - My first GOOD appt.!

i had such an awesome visit today, it made my whole day!!! my dr. is awesome and told me...

(1) not to worry about my weight - just to try and eat healthier and of course watch the foods that we are supposed to avoid (deli meats, raw fish, raw meats, and mercury in fish)

(2) my blood pressure was fine - it's on the border of high but that it's gonna go up a little bit from pregnancy but that it was nothing to worry about

(3) i told her i never wanted to see that np again and she said for me to just see her for every visit - yeah yeah yeah!!

looks like i'm gonna go with another c-section due to my family history and my last pregnancy which is ok with me especially if i have another big baby.

i go back in a month for an u/s to hopefully see the sex.

it was a GOOD visit!!

oh and she was able to pick up the heartbeat!!! 160 to 170..talk about the sweetest sound ever!!

amynicole21 replied: I'm so glad that this appointment went better than the last one! Ask them to take your bp at the end of your appointment... I used to get myself all worked up before the appt and it caused my bp to skyrocket. Worth trying before getting put on meds!!

my dr. is totally cool and isn't even phased by my bp. unfortunately you end up seeing like 3 people and when you first go in, THAT person does the weigh in and bp check, then sticks you in a room to wait for the dr. i have never had them check it again in that appt. even though they claimed it was high - i told them my other ins. used to check my bp AFTER the appt cause of my nerves and making it go up but i don't think they really listened to me...kwim??

THANKS guys for all the great comments. I am just so relieved too cause I was hating life with Kaiser so far...this doesn't make it so bad..

I had a couple of elevated bp readings when I was pg with Jade, but that really had to do with nerves and the uphill trek I had to take to get to my ob. I was SO glad to finally get a stork pass after waddling my pg behind up a hill for 6 months.

Your doc sounds great and hopefully that little sweety you are carrying is a girl. Then Taven can be the protective older brother.
