I HATE being COLD - And I am ALWAYS cold

The best gift I ever got was from my mom this year...an electric throw. It's like an electric blanket but smaller...but it doesn't reach where I'm sitting.

I wonder if it's hormonal, like the opposite of hot flashes?

Calimama replied: YES, I'm cold all the time. I hate going to bed at night because I have to cuddle with myself to keep warm.. which, by the way, doesn't work.

MommyToAshley replied: When I was skinny, I was cold all the time. Now I get hot if you turn the heater above 65. So, you solutions is to gain about 50 lbs. fast (or get PG). LOL.

Unfortunetly, I am married to a man who apparently has an internal furnace b/c he is FOREVER complaining about how "HOT" it is. I swear, it can be 65 in here (ok, thats cold to me ) and he is like stripping his clothes off & asking if we can turn on the AC

booey2 replied: Glad you have found some solutions to warming up. I am continually cold because of my hypothyroidism and have found temporary relief when I run warm/hot water over my wrists for about 1 minute, it will warm me up from the tips of my toes to the top of my head. Or you could also use one of those magic bean bags that you warm up in the microwave and place that over your wrists. I have also heard the opposite is true too, reverse the process and use cold water or ice on the wrists for when you are too hot.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Sorry you are so cold Monica. I a currently cold because we have snow outside and I'm in the basement, with an unpadded floor, but typically I am hot...as in hotflash hot. Of course I'm still BF here and there, but ever since I had kids, I am always the one asking someone to open a window when we are at friend's for dinner.
