I almost started CRYING!

I just was thinking about Ashton, and how he's going to be 6 months in a few days, and it almost made me cry! Am I totally lame here? It's supposed to be a happy thing!

I think I'm just overly stressed. Thank God for my MIL. She took Ashton for a couple hours so I could just get caught up at home, and it's such a nice break. I feel like I haven't gotten anything done though, but maybe if I make a little list of some things I have gotten done it'll help...bear with me, this is for my sanity.

(I know this is every little thing, but I just need to see it typed out for my own sake)

-Made reservations for airport shuttle from home to LAX
-Went out and got an international calling card
-Called Italian hotels and car services (on the card) to compare prices and check out child accomodations
-Called Ryan at work about a few things
-Got Ashton up, nursed, and dressed for Nana's house
-Drove him over there
-Pumped about 3 bottles worth of milk and got them into baggies and in the freezer
-Went to Target, got some new clothes for A, and diapers
-Bought a new garbage can
-Vacuumed
-Dusted top of fridge (BIG deal here, trust me, hasn't been done in 2 years +)
-Read some more of my piles of baby books on teething
-Bought A a teething ring and some Orajel
-Called Matt & Jamie to check in
-Talked to Kat
-Called hospital to check on Liz
-Called another friend who had her baby last month to check on her

OK--that's enough to suit me. I know it may be trivial, simple stuff, but that's helping me right now...I guess I got some things done after all, eh?

Go me.

Hope you are all having a great day, and sorry to ramble.

Halo42101 replied: Wow! I see how much you have on your mind. You should give yourself a lot more credit than what you do. You got A LOT done today. thumb.gif

ashtonsmama replied:
Thank you so much Jessi.
Look, here I go again...

Halo42101 replied: If I could, I'd give you a box of tissues. Perhaps a good cry would help you. I mean, you've been through so much of late. Who could blame you if you broke down and cried? That actually helps relieve a lot, you know. hug.gif hug.gif

mamasbigbaby replied: I'm sorry everything is piling down onyou amanda, many hug.gif 's to you.

ashtonsmama replied:
Thank you Jessi.
I do cry, just not often *at all*!
bawling.gif
I guess I was kind of brought up in a household where you had to suck it up and get over it...

It's hard to change that pattern...

And thank you Jackie. I appreciate the hugs.

Halo42101 replied:
I was brought up the same way Amanda but now I cry in the comfort of my own home if I need to. hug.gif

ashtonsmama replied:
I'm glad to know it's not just me. It's hard, you know that...to let yourself be vulnerable and cry more after being brought up that way...

Halo42101 replied: I hear you. hug.gif

ZandersMama replied: have to love those pregnancy hormones. I was reading Zander one of those "i'm gonna be a big brother " books today and was BAWLING at the end of it! hug.gif

jaytrevjax replied: Pregnancy is so fun isn't it? You know, I'd better look at the top of my fridge, because it's been alot longer than 2 years since it's been dusted! rolling_smile.gif Lots of hugs, and hope you day gets better! hug.gif

mamasbigbaby replied: Oh,boy, fridge check!

luvmykids replied: hug.gif hug.gif Let it all out, when I'm holding back tears for days it really does help to just let it go.

And it's not silly to make a list of what you have accomplished, in fact, a lot of personal motivator types tell you to do that to keep you moving or to allow yourself to take a break.

mamasbigbaby replied:
I think all of us need to! bawling.gif bawling.gif bawling.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif

Mommy2Isabella replied: Right there with you.

I was brought up in a military home, you didn't cry unless you just got a beating ... and with things going on here lately, Sal tells me to just let it out and cry if I need to, there is nothing wrong with it ...

So, let it out, it will help hug.gif

ashtonsmama replied:
My MIL just gave us a really sweet book similar to that (the big brother type) for expecting a baby...and I was too!

Thank you all so much for the sweet words and hugs...it means so much, honestly. You're all making my day alot brighter!
