I don't know about there but here they list all the garage sales in the newspaper. Good luck, I hope you find a desk! I love garage sales, tomorrow a little town about 12 miles from here is having a huge garage sale. I'm trying to decide if I want to drive all the way there or not. You never know what treasures you might find!

grandma replied: I'm a garage sale junkie. Matter of fact, we just got back from a garage sub-sale and we found a great dining room set for my stepdaughter's new condo, for $150.
Plus some great kids toys.
We usually walk, but we always take the truck for those big item finds.
Take plenty of money and don't take a purse, a fanny pack works best..lol I know some ppl hate fanny packs, but for garage saling they are perfect.
Also, if the item is marked $20, ask if they'll take $15....

moped replied: Ok, so here is the scoop on my morning - not so bad actually....first of all I found a Coach bag, liekly a knock off but who cares it is cool. Then found a house and she had all new toys still packaged - so I bought Jack a Diego set and he bought himself a HUGE Monster Truck Grave Digger.......she also had brand new Beanie Babies. And I got myself a Rubiks cube, yes I am re addicted from 1980!!!! Seriously I was thrilled. I found a desk and chair.....desk is good, not the right color but will do fine. The chair is crap and it sucks so I am no further ahead right now - I need to haul up on of Toms office chairs because just typing this is killing me - she showed me how to lower it and NOPE I cant get it down - Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, so I need to sign off because my neck will seriously be sore from typing like this - stupid chair!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah and I also got brand new in packaged baby bowls and spoons.

I was pleasantly surprised at everything!!!!!

Sounds like you found some great treasures, well besides the chair. Congrats... You're no longer a garage sale virgin. Before you know it, you'll be hooked. You can always come here and shop, I'm having our garage sale in a few weeks.

Sound's like you had a great day! Next time you'll know what to expect. Some garage sale days are good and some are bad, just how it goes. I still love to go though!
