I am in CA - settled in for the most part

I can't complain when it's a nice 80 degrees outside, there is a pool, tennis courts and lots and lots of land...Not bad for temporary living! But I do have to drive pretty far to get anywhere - 20 minutes to the YMCA, 25 minutes to a grocery store. 55 minutes or longer to see my parents and inlaws. Not complaining, but it's so different than the burbs where everything was so close, and BIG. I will miss Target!

The scenery is just perfect! Horses, wineries, and everything is so green. I don't miss the snow in CO. I traded in my snowboots for flip-flops in just a day! DH started his new job this morning and is enjoying being outside so much. His office is in the main house, so he is liking the easy commute...LOL. It has been nice leaving the kids with the parents when we need help. The morning we drove to the ranch, we dropped off the kids so that DH and I could unload the car alone. There are fresh fruit and flower stands on every corner. We had a nice tri-tip lunch at a local cafe (I missed CA tri-tip sandwiches!). Then DH took me on an ATV around the ranch. It is absolutely breathtaking, like someplace in Ireland.

I won't be on much because we don't get great service up here on the ranch. We bought a new MacBook, but it took me about a dozen "restarts" just to write this post. Hope you all are well and I will try and catch up when I can. I see Wesley is in the spotlight..... I will post photos as soon as DH picks up the camera connector on his next trip back to CO...probably a couple weeks.
