luvbug00 replied: I'm sorry you've had a tough day! Well If it were Mya I'd Ignore her. Now that she's older she just watches tv as she goes to bed. Before that she'd come down and play with her toys until she feel asleep on the floor.? sorry not much help

iluvmysweetiepies replied: grouphug.gif Awwww I'm sorry!! What a rough day. I've had many days like that. wacko.gif Maybe DH can watch the kids for a little while so you can take a relaxing bath or maybe just a drive without the kids? I hope tomorrow is a lot better. grouphug.gif

SOUTHERN MOMMY replied: rolling_smile.gif LOL that would be nice but he got called to deliver a baby rolling_smile.gif

mckayleesmom replied: Andrew sounds like a perfect match for Mckaylee....have you betrothed (so?) him yet?

SOUTHERN MOMMY replied:
rolling_smile.gif I know this sounds stupid but what does that mean rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

mckayleesmom replied: In other countrys and some religions..the future wives and husbands are picked for the child by the parents....In other words is he already spoken for...LOL

SOUTHERN MOMMY replied: rolling_smile.gif OH that is funny not only can i not spell but i need to catch up on my history and current events i guess oh well i gave up and he is setting quitley watching garfield thumb.gif who cares what time he goes to bed as long as he stayes out of trouble

SOUTHERN MOMMY replied: rolling_smile.gif Hey brianne if you want him i can fed-ex him overnight rolling_smile.gif

3xmommy replied: I'm guilty of it... using my tv as a babysitter... but only at bedtime I swear!

I let my kids watch their videos of Spongebob, Pokemon, and their movies (Garfield, Fluke, Monsters Inc, The Incredibles) at night when they go to bed... it keeps them all calm and happy and not long after I put the video in, they're all asleep. Of course I co-sleep so it might be different for you... we have two that sleep alone but they get in our bed to watch and I pack 'em to theirs when they conk out. Mine are kinda heavy... but as long as I haven't had a too bad day, I'm alright.

Sometimes ya just gotta pick your battles I guess.

kit_kats_mom replied: Oh good gravy. I've so been there. I despise days like that.

I can usually track them back to me though. If I've got Katherine all day, I need to have some plans and ideas to keep her mind busy. If I'm tired or cranky & just let her watch videos all day, that's when she's really trouble. You know idle hands and all.

As long as I stick pretty closely to the routine that her daycare has, and have craft time, movie time, story time, outside play time etc...she's much easier to enjoy. tongue.gif

Alice replied: I'm so sorry you had one of those days. Kira keeps me on my toes in ways the other 2 never thought of: she's either sitting inside the fridge dropping my eggs (I now only buy Egg Beaters rolleyes.gif ) or she's writing on every wall in the house.

School's just about out for the summer. Is there a teen or pre-teen you could hire once or twice a week as a Mother's Helper, just to give you a little breathng space? You don't have to go anywhere, just sit for an hour and read a magazine without feeling like you're under seige.

Jamielou replied: Sorry you had such a bad day i hope it gets better for you smile.gif
