I can't do this - sick AGAIN
CantWait wrote: I just got over a cold a couple weeks ago, now I'm sick again. Of course, every time Ron comes home. He'll be here in one week tomorrow, and we move in two weeks. I just got back into going to the gym on a regular basis, I have the surprise party this weekend for the kids, plus a ton of stuff to do around the house for the move, this just isn't the right time
I hate to complain, and don't usually when I'm sick but I just need to vent, this just isn't the right time to be sick
luvmykids replied: I'm sorry, it never happens when you actually have the time to be sick, does it? Hope you feel much better in the morning and can get through your weekend.
C&K*s Mommie replied: hope you feel much better soon!
kit_kats_mom replied: I'm sorry. That's a real bummer. I'm coming down with a cold too. It's never a good time to be sick. We are mom's. we are busy people dang it! Stay away colds.
I had been getting about a cold a month. I quit going to the gym three months ago and it's been three months since I was sick. Hmmmm....coincidence? I swear I washed my hands all the time while i was there and used the alcohol gel but apparently they are super germs. I bought some dvd's and have been exercising at home. I know where I got this cold...Thank you Lauren's babysitter's dd.
redchief replied: Summer colds are the worst too. Hope you're feeling better real soon.
CantWait replied: You know, now that you mention it, it is a coincidence that I always seem to get sick every time I get back into the routine of going to the gym Funny thing isn't it.
redchief replied: More likely got it from something less obvious... The countertop at the reception area, juice bar, window sill, locker room bench... anything else you can think of you may have touched.
Ashlynn's Mommy replied: Poor thing! I hope you feel better
3xsthefun replied: I'm sorry your sick. Hope you are feeling better soon!
mammag replied: I actually think there is a relationship between beginning a workout regimine and getting sick. Everyone I know who works out has experienced this, especially after a layoff period.
The body's susceptiility to respiratory infections can be elevated for 24hrs. after a tough workout. The added stress to the body compromises the immune system. It is crucial when exercising to get all of your nutrients to prevent this from happening. Losing more than 2lbs. per week compromises the immune system as well as low protein. I try to get at least 1g/lb. of protein when working out regularly. Make sure you take your vitamins daily and drink plenty of water.
I would go ahead and start inrease the protein and vitamins now and then wait to get back when you have recovered.
Hope you feel better soon. Sorry it's at such a bad time.
coasterqueen replied: Ah Marie, I hope you get feeling better real fast.
coasterqueen replied: ITA.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Hope you feel better soon Marie!
Halo42101 replied: I pray that you feel better soon & that everything else goes well for you.
MommyToAshley replied:
Hope you feel better soon!
CantWait replied: I think I'm starting to feel better again. I may try and go back to the gym tomorrow afternoon. Only another 3 workouts till Ron gets home so I gotta look my best.
