Not a problem in itself.... but...

....one of the major bridges between Gatineau and Ottawa (Quebec and Ontario) is out due to repairs needing to be made... which means that 27,000 cars need to find an alternate route.. which means one of the other 3 bridges in the area... traffic is bad.

......OC Transpo - which is the Ottawa-Carleton Transport services (the busses) are going on strike tonight at midnight... which has estimates of an extra 120,000 cars on the road as of tomorrow... for at least until Monday...

...........plus this snow... I kid you not, a 10 minute drive took us almost 2 hours.

The weather networks are announcing the snow to continue...and as it gets colder overnight, they're calling for freezing rain....

.....................tomorrow (and the rest of the week) is going to be a nightmare.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: it's not too cold, thankfully.. as odd as that sounds.... i snuck in a cigarette (bad, i know) this afternoon and went otuside with jeans, a t-shirt, and a knit cardigan.

the cold doesn't really affect us as much as the sheer stupidity of drivers the first or second snowfalls.

if i could sell snow to the south, i'd make millions.
