I did it, I went!

There were a lot of 30ish people there, so I felt old. hehe. But, it did bring back a lot of memories. It was kind of funny, there was a guy in front of us with his teenage daughter and she was like, "Dad, what is this??!!" LOL It was funny to see the parents jammin' and the kids just kinda sittin there. LOL.

There was a big thunderstorm that came by, but we had great seats down front and we were the under shelter with the band. But, I felt sorry for the people that weren't under the shelter... some people were even using their chairs for cover.

I had a great time and DH was fine with Ashley. So, I worried for nothing. Thanks for encouraging me to go.

I was nervous to the first time I went to a concert Kaitlin was only 3 months old, well it was not far away (for you in Dayton it was at nutter) but my mom ended up being sick, so my dad and a friend of our watched her. I kept checking my cell phone to make she they did not call. I was glad I went.

Schnoogly replied: Yay! It's harder on you than her for sure. DH and I are going to the movies tonight--a friend and her husband are coming over to watch Iain. He has met both of them before and likes them, but this is the first time we've left him with anyone besides my mom (and her only twice) plus it will be bedtime...I am worried.

I told her to bring her DH because he likes babies (and also because it takes a team of babysitters for this kid!!)

DH and I went to a Journey concert when Jade was 6 weeks old. It was hard on me, but we just went into Honolulu which is 10 minutes away from home. She was all right, but I didn't leave her for that long again until she was much older. We had fun though. Journey is so good live.

MommyToAshley replied: Thanks everyone! I almost backed out, but I think it was the encouragement from all of you (and DH) that made me go. I wasn't worried about Ashley with DH -- he is great with her. I was just concerned about her missing her last nursing session before she went to bed. But, all was fine.

And, the rain was actually a GOOD thing. (at least for those of us up front with good seats under the shelter) It was hot and muggy, and the thunderstorm really cooled things off.

Shooter, LOL -- with singing like that you should have tried out for the band. They had a couple new members.
