I felt so bad - but Anders was so cute!!

supermom wrote: Last night when I fixed dinner I had a really PG moment. We had some Pea Soup, and I was fixing some bread for it in the toaster oven. The soup was done, so I put the pot on the table from the stove and got a plate down from the cabinet to put the bread on when it was done.

Without turning off the stove burner (it wasn't on very high) I put the plate right on it (DUH!!) then I sat down with DH and Anders to eat. When the timer went off, I asked DH to get the bread. I didn't know I had put the plate on the hot burner, and when DH went to pick it up, he burnt his fingers - sigh - what an idiot I was. Of course, with all these lovely hormones in my body, I just started crying....and Anders asked what was wrong. I (half-jokingly) said that I was a bad mommy because I had made daddy burn himself.

He was SO cute - he pouted, he said that it was alright, it was an accident, and that he loved me more than anyone in the whole entire world. Talk about break your heart!! And then he told DH that I didn't mean it, it was an accident. Of course, DH wasn't mad at me, he knew - but by the end, we all felt much better....

Hopefully I won't do that ever again.

How did you keep from gigglin or crying harder (happy tears) when he did that?
