I get to close on the house EARLY

luvmykids wrote: As long as there are no glitches with the appraisal that should be done Monday, closing got bumped up to WEDNESDAY!!!! redbounce.gif redbounce.gif redbounce.gif (It was originally going to be October 19.)

My realtor said she'd talked to the mortgage office and they said on their end everything is ready, so she called the sellers to ask if they'd be willing to bump it up and they're already out, so YEE HAW moving day starts THURSDAY. All the inspections are done and nothing needed fixing so as long as nothing goes wrong on the appraisal end I'm a new home owner on Wednesday.

Oh-and I'm supposed to get to do a walk through on Monday, I'll try to get some pics thumb.gif

Now I just have to hope my landlord is cool about it, we had agreed that he wouldn't list the house until November just to give me time to get it in shape and hopefully be moved out but I don't know if he'll actually let me out of my lease or not since it's not on "his" terms, kwim?

mom2my2cuties replied: That is great news!!!!

I will be praying the Landlord situation works out!

CantWait replied: thumb.gif thumb.gif How exciting.

Our Lil' Family replied: Yay Monica!! Is this the house that you showed us pics of a while back, the one with the creek in the back?

luvmykids replied:
No, that one was actually in a stupid subdivision with restrictions on horses, even though it was 10 acres you could only have 2 horses rolleyes.gif My feeling is if you only have 2 horses, why would you need 10 acres?

Anyway, this is in the mountains here, just out of Albuquerque. The views aren't nearly as pretty but I'm happy because it means I'm still only 30 minutes from my mom wub.gif The other house I would have been 2.5 hours bawling.gif This one still has 10 acres, has about 800 more square feet, already has horse pens with water (yee haw no hauling water thumb.gif ) and mature landscaping around the house.

I was going to move because of work but we're all getting better at me running things long distance thumb.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: YAY!! How exciting! Is this your first time being a home owner?

I hope your landlord will give you the agreed upon time to move out.

Keep us posted. rolling_smile.gif

luvmykids replied:
No, but I joke that it is.... Our old house was such a guy's place, it was a really great property with very nice horse pens and an awesome barn but the house, well, lets just say the house didn't count rolling_smile.gif Don't get me wrong, we were thrilled to be home owners but it was very, very old and falling down around our ears and I couldn't get DH to fix anything. Plus it was a 2 bedroom, about 1000 square feet, made it tough to be a family of five, sometimes six (if stepd was there). We loved the views and the horse aspect of it but to live in was the pits.

This time I feel like it's MY house, I really felt at home the second I walked in the door and I think we'll be soooo happy there wub.gif

A&A'smommy replied: CONGRATULATIONS!!! How exciting for you!!! hug.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Wow... how did I miss this???!!!! How exciting!

Congratulations!!! Do we get to see pics???

Our Lil' Family replied: I'm so excited for you Mon!!!

luvmykids replied:
I get to do a walk through tomorrow (Monday) at 11.... you know I'm taking my camera, it's been killing me that I haven't been able to show anybody rolling_smile.gif
