I have another question... - :)
A&A'smommy wrote: Hey I was just wondering how you would know if your baby has dropped. My mom says i have but i dont know i havent gone to the bathroom any more although i have been going every 15 to 30 min. since i got pregnant! She says she looks a lot lower but the docter didnt say anything at my last app. How would i know?
Kirstenmumof3 replied: I felt the baby drop right away, I got this instant relief on my bladder! Chances are you probably have dropped! Good Luck!
kit_kats_mom replied: I never really noticed. My Dr. Had to tell me that she was moving down into position. I had no idea!
MomToJade&Jordan replied: I couldn't tell when I dropped because I was carrying so high. I learned I had when I measured at 38 weeks when the week before I measured at 39.
mckayleesmom replied: I never dropped cause she was always carried really low...I could feel her hiccup practically in my crotch...and sometimes she felt like she was going to fall out. I could only accasionally feel her butt above my belly button.
MomofTay&Sam replied: I never had this either. Sammy was delivered 2 weeks early maybe that is why??
MommyToAshley replied: I carried Ashley really low too... so I never felt her drop. I guess everyone is different.
ediep replied: the same thing happened to me!
dolfinrse replied: One day I looked down at my belly and it seemed a lot lower to me. Later that day we saw my mil and she said I had dropped from the day before. All of sudden my belly went from being right under my boobs to around my stomach.
DansMom replied: I felt a lot more pressure and had shooting pains down the inside of my thighs sometimes (almost like electric shocks), especially when I walked. Also, as soon as he dropped I developed edema because of poor circulation, aka elephant ankles and puffy feet. I looked like the Michelen man!
riversmom replied: Rivers was a month early so I guess I didn't notice this either. To me it felt like he pretty much stayed in the same place but just kept getting bigger and bigger...
MommyToAshley replied: Jessyann, I was thinking about your question and I remembered something kind of funny from my PG. I didn't feel the baby drop, but I do remember freaking out one morning when I woke up and thought my stomach looked smaller. (I got really big, fast... people thought I was ready to have my baby when I was only 6 months PG). It really freaked me out that my tummy was so much smaller that morning, but it turns out that it was just the way Ashley was turned. LOL I just remembered that and it made me giggle so I thought I would share how silly I was.
A&A'smommy replied: LOL thats funny! Im VERY lopsided because Alyssa is staying on my right side, and sometimes you can almost feel her back bone!! She stabs me with it a lot! lol (geez i didnt know i was repetitive )
CantWait replied: I remember the day Anthony dropped. I felt it and couldn't believe it, but sure enough when I looked down I looked like I was carrying lower. I still couldn't believe it, then all of a sudden half an hour later my mom looked at me and said "you dropped". A couple days later, I had baby in my arms He was also a second baby so it happened a lot later.
A&A'smommy replied: yeah im pretty sure she dropped, it almost looks like she is lower today than she was yesterday! I had the worst night last night i couldnt go to sleep until 2:00am and then i woke up a lot, its my own fault though i drank a small glass of coffee at around 10:00pm. But on top of all that i had a stomach ach too (ugh) and then this morning i skipped church so i could try and get some sleep but i couldnt sleep because my sides were too sore. So i got up and i have felt bored and tired all at the same time and its driving me crazy!!!!! i need something to relax me and keep me up until bedtime....anyways later all
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I have no idea - I always carried him really low. It was funny - If my lower belly was hidden from view - you couldn't tell I was preggers, even the day before I had Zach....because up to my belly button pretty much, my belly was flat.
A&A'smommy replied: thats not fair i have gained so much weight it scares me!!! I hope that i can loose it all and go back to a size four pants which i worked EXTREMELY hard to get into in the first place!!!! but anyways if i dont she will be worth it!!! When you were ZachsMOM pregnant did it ever hurt to walk because he was so low? sometimes it feels like she is laying on the top of my leg and if i walk my feet swell up till the look almost purple!!! its so weird so i just sit down and prop up my feet until she moves...
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Yeah sometimes.... and sometimes I'd wake up in the middle of the night in EXCRUCIATING pain because he was on a nerve... it would feel like a small explosion in my leg. It would hurt so much!!!
My feet never swelled up though, and I never got canckles. (calf-ankles : sorta the one piece leg... heh heh I kept the shape of MY ankles!!)
I think that because I gained a lot of weight, my legs weren't as bad... I was a size 4 before I got pg...now I'm a size 12 or 14. ALthough it hur5ts to look at myself sometimes... I WILL be a size 4 again! I have WAY too much gorgeous clothes NOT to... heh heh
How much weight did you gain? I gained over 70 pounds with Zach (I went from 124 to 198) but was back at 165 the day after I gave birth (all the water I had...) and so far, I've gained about 20 pounds.
Keepo doing what you're doing with the lifting of the feet...you'll be fine.
A&A'smommy replied: omg you made me feel so much better!!! i was 120 and now im 182, and i DONT want to weigh that much! But its alright!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!!!
