I have decided...
PrairieMom wrote: That i am going to start weaning Ally onto formula and be done BF when she hits 6 months. That gives me 5 weeks and aprox. 2 more bouts with Thrush before we are done. I am just getting fed up with the whole thing. I'm not really happy about it, I'm actually pretty sad, but it is such a PITA. I think once I am finally done with it i will be relieved. I hope. Now I just need to figure out how to go about weaning her.
CantWait replied: Sorry Tara. I think you're doing what's best for you though, and you should be quite proud of yourself.
kit_kats_mom replied: I think that if I'd had to struggle with the issues you've had, I'd probably do the same thing. It's worth it but not if it's seriously effecting your quality of life.
my2monkeyboys replied: I agree... with all the troubles that have come your way, I'd try something different as well. I'm sure you both will be happier and more content. Be proud of your self for all the hard work you've done already!
boyohboyohboy replied: your goal was 6 months and you should be very proud of that... you did great things for your little girl going on that long with all that you had to deal with. thrush sounds terrible.
jacobsmama replied: I also totally agree! You know what is best for you and the baby. 6 months is a HUGE accomplishment! So be so proud of yourself! We are for you!
~Roo'sMama~ replied: I totally agree. I hope the weaning goes well!
mckayleesmom replied: I agree with the rest....your sanity is just as important as breastfeeding. You do what is best for yourself and your baby.
MyLuvBugs replied: Sounds like it will be a good choice in the end. I'm sorry though you couldn't make it a year like you wanted. But she'll be ok.
amynicole21 replied: Now that I am battling thrush myself, I can totally understand your decision. What a nightmare. I'm sorry your hand was forced on this one. Good luck weaning.
gr33n3y3z replied: I think you did very well concidering everything you been dealing with
PrairieMom replied: Fun stuff huh? What are you doing for yours?
coasterqueen replied: Glad you were able to make a decision that you felt was best for your family.
MyBabeMaddie replied: Don't beat yourself up Tara! 6 months is great!! Goodluck with the weaning process!
holley79 replied: Tara, 6 months is wonderful. You both have been through a lot and you have stuck with it.
PrairieMom replied: Thanks for your support guys. It really helps. I'm just sad that things didn't work out for me, but on the same hand I am excited to just be done with it, and not have to deal with any of it or worry about it any more. Are't hormones great?!
