I just hung up

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Well, it is cheap labor. Companies hire people in other countries to do the calling b/c they pay them pennies on the dollar for what they would have to pay someone here to do the calling. It is VERY frustrating. ITA.

I love it! I never answer if it comes up unknown (or my FIL)

Shanna replied: I get these annoying calls all day long at work and I hate them. Most of them have a delay before they answer you it's so annoying. Especially when you are running to catch the phone. ERR!

mckayleesmom replied: I sometimes answer to UNKOWN CALLER because it might be my husband at a hotel hes staying at. Sometimes his cell phone dies so he does that. But man did that put me in a foul mood.

I used to try to listen and figure out what they were saying but now I usually either just hang up or break in and say... nope not interested... and then hang up. Not just the ones that can't speak English either - I do it to the ones who start talking a mile a minute as soon as you answer the phone telling some great deal you've just been selected for. I've learned the hard way they CAN'T be reasoned with and won't take no for an answer!

punkeemunkee'smom replied: ITA Brianne! It is annoying! The other day I had a telemarketer call that was just rude and so I kept asking her to speak english even though she was...I don't know why but it relived ALOT of tension!

I usually say I don't have time to talk when those telemarketers phone... and normally I don't anyway LOL Most of the time they phone at dinner time GRRR

TLCDad replied: Yeah try calling tech support these days... Just about all major companies are outsourcing to other countries. Makes me really upset that our government is allowing and worse encouraging it. This gets me really peeved so I best stop now

Um, hello! If it was THAt important to talk me, then let a freaking person call me!

C&K*s Mommie replied: It aggravates my family & friends to no end.. but I do not answer the phone at all. UNLESS I am expecting a call back-- My DH has to talk over the singing of the ABC's by Christian in order for me to answer the phone. Telemarketers are either confused, or do not want to listen to the entire ABC's in order to leave a msg. FINE BY ME!!! Most of the time though, I have the volume down on the answering machine and the ringer off on the phone. If there ever is an emergency I do check often to see if anyone has left a msg. And besides I am always losing my cell phone so unless the girls are asleep I try to keep the ringer turned on on my cell.
