I just visited PP for the first time

If you want a custom siggy or upload pics f0or their message boards, you have to pay for it in a monthly fee. It's ridiculous, IMHO!

I started out there and in my month group got a pretty chilly feeling---it wasn't nearly as welcoming a crowd as this group is, although I know other people who love the people in their month group, so I think it might have been just the November '02 group. I felt like I was horning in on a private party. Then someone posted on that site to check out this forum. I instantly loved it here---what a difference, and being able to post and see photos was a big plus in addition to feeling more welcome.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I left PP when I was invited over here. (I don't remember who the invite was from) It got really bad on our March board. From what I understand it has gotten somewhat better. But, I agree that it is ridiculous that you have to pay for all that stuff. M2A and TLCDad...you guys are awesome to allow us to post here and post pictures with no fee involved.

thats exactly what happened with me. I was in the nov o2 playgroup and then people started deleting my posts if i complained.then someone posted a link to this board and that was it. I go back to the infant loss board but thats it...lol

coasterqueen replied: LOL I must admit I frequent over there as well on the Sept 02 playgroup and the breastfeeding board. I have been on the breastfeeding board almost as long as I've been BF so I couldn't bear to leave there :-( Even if they suckered me into paying for my siggy.

I LOVE it here too Just a different kinda "fix", lol.

A&A'smommy replied: i didnt like it over there either i was using the ivillage pg calendar and it kept saying that i should go to the expecting club but it was ALWAYS down, that when i started looking for a actual parenting club and i found you guys when i finally got to try it out over there it was just tooo confusing!!

amynicole21 replied: Yea, I'm over there a lot - I am the community leader for one of the boards. I got pretty upset when they changed the format, but have gotten used to it by now. I don't think they got the response they were looking for when they offered the "new and improved" versions... oh well.

MomToJade&Jordan replied: I was actually thinking about that board the other day. I don't think I've been over there since Kit_Kats_Mom told me about this place. Once you come over here it's kind of hard to go back. I belonged to the Sept 02 board.

kit_kats_mom replied: That's so funny that you posted that. I visited the other day (after reading the link to the bfding post). I posted on the BFding board to collect my medal because those ladies were really helpful to me in the beginning and I also posted on the sept 02 playgroup which I had been a very active member of. It has really slowed down over there but not as much drama either. :-) I plan to post here mostly though. I just feel like such a part of this community and i always get at least one response to my posts...no matter how silly they may be.

Thanks to all who make it possible. TLC Dad and Mommy To Ashley for the technical ability and space/money and to the rest of you without whom, this wouldn't be such a nice place to come when it's time to prop up my feet.

5littleladies replied: I was a part of the Sept 02 club also and I just didn't ever feel very welcomed-Only one person responded to my introduction post . I lurked until they changed the format and then someone posted a link for Parenting Club and I have been here ever since. I did go back once or twice and I noticed that they deleted the post with the link that I used. Good thing I caught it in time!!
