I know I have asked this before - but I really need to know now

But I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice or some links to places where I could earn some money... Jeremiah and I didn't calculate some things into our buget and we are pushing it now to the point where we CANNOT afford for me to stay home with Alyssa which had both me and Jeremiah in tears tonight so I told him just to take me off the insurance(and extra $200) for awhile and I would look into working from home...

claireismybear replied: Depending on what you are good at and how much patience you have, here are some suggestions:
1. Jewelry making and other crafts (knitting, painting, sewing...). You can sell your work on Ebay. 2. Wedding/ thank you card maker. Start a home business where you create messages and sign/ address/ mail out cards for people. You may end up needing an assitant for something like this. 3. Can you play a musical instument? You can always teach lessons in your home. You don't have to be a professional, just good at teaching. 4. Buying in bulk and reselling, or buying and assembling products and reselling them. This would be a company you could also do through ebay or something like that. You would only need money to buy your supplies first. For example, you could buy printer cartridages and ink in bulk and refill them yourself and then resell them as remanufactured. I'm not sure if you need a liscense to do it, but it shouldn't be hard to find out. 5. Ok, I'm trying really hard here so forgive me if this sounds stupid, but if you like pets you could start a pet sitting business, maybe? Ok, maybe not?
party-of-six replied: Can you do any sort of craft item....knit, crochet....perhaps manage friend's ebay sales (you set up, monitor, and ship out for a percentage of the sale), pet sitting. These are the only things that are coming to mind right now.... OR....you can do some web design and build and maintain sites for local businesses.... Maybe you can get a part-time job at night after your husband gets home...he gets some quality Daddy-Alyssa time and you get out and make a little bit of money without having to place her in a daycare setting or paying anyone to watch her. YOu could perhaps work as a cashier in a local grocery or discount store.... my sister worked as a CNA for many years and had no experience when she started. The nursing home she started at trained her and paid for all the classes she needed....she is now an RN making more than 30K a year. She did all that at night after her DH got home....her kids never spent one day in daycare.
claireismybear replied: If you don't have many skills I will let you know that jewelry making is not very hard to start doing. All you need is a good book with illustrations and the right tools. You should check out a local craft store and ask someone there for help. You may need to spend about $20-$50 or more, depending on the quality of jewlery you're making, but that's nothing compared to what you can sell it for. When selling you have to think about the time you spent on it, plus the price of supplies, so most jelwery that would only cost $2-$5 to make you could end up selling for $20 or more! I have some stuff that I made if you want to see pictures. It's very simple stuff, but with the right beads and colors it can come out looking like a masterpiece. It's all in dd's closet right now but if you are interested let me know and I will show you so you can see how simple it is.

momof2girls replied: Try wahm.com this website has some companies that you can work from home, some you have to take calls, other are data entry and things like that.
Even if you watch one child the same age as your daughter you could make some extra money that way.
Good luck!
momof2girls replied: also check monster.com they do have some work from home jobs.
jolene555 replied: a friend of mine is taking classes to be a medical transcriptionist. she takes classes part time and at the end of the year she's certified. it's a job that all you need is the ability to type and a home computer and you're set. she's very excited.
Alice replied: Have you thought about Tupperware, Avon, Christmas around the World....?
Mommy2BAK replied: I don't know if there are many tanning salon;s in your town but you could work at one and take Alyssa with you.
