I lied... - I'm nesting!!

Tomorrow I am calling around to get estimates for a cleaning lady. I think twice a month is plenty. That way I can 'maintain' this house once Ethan is born. I will have her start the first week of March (the week before Ethan gets here) and she will be here again the week after. It will work out perfectly. DH will be soooooo happy!! I will be, too.

I also need to get the vents and carpets cleaned, but I will have to ask DH first! LOL!

Good idea about the cleaning lady, my DH will never go for that though ..........I will start working on him tonight!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I am exhausted. I ordered pizza for dinner. I hope DH doesn't get mad. I called and got my cleaning lady. She will be here March 1!!!! DH is so thrilled. He has been trying to get me to do this for 5 years!! She will come every other week and I have a list ready for her. She is rather cheap, too.



I bet she starts soon. Even if it isn't cleaning she may nest in her own way.

LOL, if I do nest, I don't really recognize it! It doesn't seem any different than anything else to me. I like washing the baby clothes and getting them all ready, but that's about it. I'm never caught up with the laundry, so there's ALWAYS that to do, which doesn't bother me. One of the few chores I LIKE to do, which is why I want to cloth diaper this one. I should've with Hannah, and I regret that, but it's the past now. DH changed his mind about CD; he thinks it's too hard. I'll still do it; it's not like he will be changing the diapers anyway ! I haven't washed the baby clothes yet, mostly because I have no place to put them right now. I have to do some rearranging first. In a 3 bedroom house with 5 kids, it's hard to know where to put everyone and all their stuff!

Maddiesma, that's great about the cleaning lady! I could only DREAM about something like that! It's just great!

You will not regret getting a cleaning lady. Mine comes 2x a month and it works out perfectly. I just keep the house *tidy* the rest of the time. It's great! I haven't cleaned a toilet or tub since September 03!!!! I hope I never have to again. Hehehehe.

I could never have a cleaning lady. It's not that I don't want one, it's just that I would probably clean before the cleaning lady got here just so she wouldn't see a dirty house. LOL

LOL!! That is what has kept me from getting one the past 6 years. Besides I felt like a failure, like I was letting DH down. After all I do stay home all day! I finally got over it and decided that a clean house is important to both of us and neither of us has the time to do the cleaning we would like. Especially with a baby coming. I like clean baseboards, ceiling fans, bathrooms, etc ALL the time and it is impossible for me to do that now. I will have to pick up toys and stuff. She will do the 'deep' cleaning. I'm really looking forward to it. DH will be a much happier person. Plus, knowing she is coming every other week will keep me motivated to keep the house 'picked up'.
