My2Carebears wrote: I get my 2 bottom wisdom teeth out January 8th.. I am nervous..lol.I have never had to be put under for anything. So I guess that freaks me out and Just not knowing how I will react freaks me out..lol. Dh is taking me. Its gonna cost me out of pocket $234.20, but since we have a flexible Spending account thru work, we get that money back. I wish i wasn't so freaked by it. Also 2 days after that is my friends surprise Bday dinner and I do plan on going, even if I don't eat much. We are going to Olive garden, So i should be fine and Drugged..lol.
MommyToAshley replied: Oh, I hope everything goes alright and you don't have much pain. I especially hope you are able to eat when you go to the Olive Garden.
DansMom replied: Sounds like something you don't really look forward to, but you'll be glad when it's over with. Wisdom teeth can cause a lot of trouble for you later on. Good luck with the removal!
A&A'smommy replied: yuck that doesnt sound like fun!! I hope that all goes well!!! ((((BIG HUGS))) you are VERY brave to be having this done and you have such a great attitude about it!!!
Kirstenmumof3 replied: I had all 4 wisdom teeth out all at once. The first day and a half were the worst, but after that everything was fine! Good Luck and I'm sure you will make it to your friends party!
aspenblue1 replied: Good luck on getting your wisdom teeth out. I had all 4 done at the same time. It is worse the 1st day. I hope you can eat when you go to the olive garden.
amynicole21 replied: I just had all 4 out a few years ago... believe me, you'll wake up when it's all over and wonder when they are going to start! lol! Being put under is so weird. It's like you blink your eyes for a second and they're done. I really wasn't able to eat anything for a week, but my mouth had gotten dry socket or something... don't get that. lol!! It was bad. Other than that, it really wasn't such a horrible experience. I was much more scared than I needed to be. Good luck!
Kaitlin'smom replied: hope all goes easy and smooth. It something I need to do also I have 3 of them. They have never bothered me and I was told by one dentist leave them if they dont bother you thean another one saying get them out they will only rot if you dont. I dunno what I will do.
~~~easy removal vibs~~~speedy recovery~~~
ediep replied: yea, i had three out at once. Being put under is very strange....it feels like no time passes. It wasn't to bad. I don't think I had that much pain. The hardest part was trying to eat. I think that I ate jello and soup for a week. I lost about 5 pounds!
amynicole21 replied: Get a bunch of those slim fast shakes to eat for a day or two... they worked wonders for me. But remember not to use a straw!! Bad news for post-wisdom teeth surgery
kimberley replied: i only had 3 wisdom teeth i guess the fourth never grew. just be diligent about keeping the "holes" clean... infection can happen very easy and is painful.
hope it all goes well for you!
jen replied: It really wasn't so bad! I had 4 out! My sister and I had them out the same day! So a total of 8 between us! ha ha! I remember being put under they were having me count backwards from 10 and I looked down and I guess my vision was blurred and I saw my legs on the counter next to the reclined chair I was on! ha ha! Then the lady taking my blood pressure noticed my heart rate shot up because I saw the lower half of my body next to me! ha ha! I tried to tell her that it was working but I don't think any words came out! Anyway I woke up in a wheel chair with my mom and dad pushing my sister and I down to the car. We both had guaze in our mouth that was the worst part! Then my dad fainted in the elevator! ha ha! So then we had 3 wheel chairs! My mom and two other people pushing us to the car! It was a mess. When we got home the 3 of us watched TV and ate jello, pudding and soup, my dad never lived it down either! It really isn't so bad! It was no big deal, unless you are in the military, my ex-husband had his out and they just gave him some shots in his mouth drove a screw through each wisdom tooth to break it then pulled out 1/2 of the tooth at a time. THAT WOULD be AWFUL! But seriously from what you will remember, it will be nothing OH you will also feel like your face is the size of a watermelon, but don't worry that is just from the lidocaine!
mummy2girls replied: i had 4 taken out at the same time. 3 was already above the gum one was inside. I wasnt put to sleep though. i was froze. They stuck me with so much freezing needles. and i was awake for the whole thing.i was sore for the first few days and had nothing but soups...i remeber it cost my dad 500 bucks...
5littleladies replied: I need to have mine taken out but am having serious doubts after reading everyones stories and advice!! lol Good luck Cary!! I hope it goes well for you.
MomofTay&Sam replied: Good Luck! It doesnt hurt at all. I was awake to.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Just be sure to rest afterwards and don't do too much talking. When my DH got his wisdom teeth out he went back to work and ended up getting puss pockets in his mouth. They had to wire his mouth shut and shove cotton and gauze down in the pockets. Not to scare you, just a warning..especially if you plan on going to the party.
My2Carebears replied: Thank you Guys for so much Advice.Its Awesome to get this kind of response..heheh. Well I get them out on the 8th and my friends dinner is the 10th. I plan on soup and not much else..lol. Do you guys have any advice i keeping them from infection, like do i use normal mouthwash? I am really nervous, but i am sure once its over i will be fine. My hubby Got his out a couple years ago. And he didn't go home and relax right away and ended up with a mout full of blood...eww. He says he doesn't remeber going to another room(where i met him) He barely remebers getting in the car. So the drugs must be nice!! Someone else told me to make sure i take my drugs on time every 4-6 hours and don't let the pain get bad, that way I sound be pain free after 48 hours. We'll see . Thank you so much. You guys are great!
