Off to teach my 4 year old to gargle.

amynicole21 replied: Ew Ew Ew!! Did they cut it out? blink.gif

kit_kats_mom replied:
no. She was gagging when he was just looking in there. He didn't want to traumatize her since it's not really making her sick. Just giving her a minor sore throat. I'm supposed to get her to gargle salt water & it will supposedly loosen and fall out at some point.

He did say that it's rare for a kid her age to have one and that she may need a tonsillectomy at some point if it becomes a recurring problem. dry.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: yep you win.......... puke.gif

MomToJade&Jordan replied: Oh Ew. Poor K.

lisar replied: I hope everything is okay. After reading the replies I dont think I want to open the link.

Jackie012007 replied: welcome to my world... I have them so bad, they shoot out of my mouth when I talk sometimes.

I'm having a tonsilectomy soon, I just got approved by the specialist, now that I am no longer pregnant. Have you considered having her tonsils out? From what I have been told by the doc I was seeing before I got pregnant and couldn't have the surgery, these never go away - I had one that lodged itself into the tissue in my tonsils and caused a abcess that got infected and bled off and on sand was very painful - hence my need for the surgery.

kit_kats_mom replied:
Ew! Sorry. That is awful.

Her ped said they are rare in kids her age and if she starts to get them more often, it's grounds for tonsil removal.

BTW, now she's saying "mom, my tinsels are hurting". rolling_smile.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
OMG - I think that my MIL may have these too then... sometimes when she coughs, little blobs of white shoot out. Ew.

HuskerMom replied: Yuck! I just had to look didn't I! Hope she gets better soon! hug.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Yuck, grosss, ewwww. Yup, you win.

But, poor K. I am sorry she has to deal with that. Did they say what causes it?
