I miss Ashley today...

MommyToAshley wrote: MIL called and wanted to know if Ashley could spend the night last night, and of course Ashley was excited to do it.

There are days when I wish and wish that I could have a day to myself, but now that I have it... I am missing Ashley. It nice outside and I keep thinking "hey I will get Ashley, pack a lunch, and go to the park" and then I realize she isn't here. blush.gif I know I must sound so silly.

amymom replied: I totally understand. Enjoy the time with her when she returns. hug.gif

Boys r us replied: I completely understand how that is!! But it will make you that much more appreciative of your time with her when she gets home from her big adventure!!
I'm sure she is being spoiled rotten as we speak!

A&A'smommy replied: NO not silly I do the same thing when alyssa isn't here!!! tongue.gif

coasterqueen replied: Doesn't sound silly at all. Kylie spent the night with Dh's parents last night because she wanted to and last night while Megan was asleep and Dh and I were out on the deck (I was cutting rose bushes, he was relaxing, lol) I mentioned how much I missed her. I wanted to call, but DH wouldn't let me. blush.gif

I was so ready to pick her up early this morning but Dh stalled by having us run errands. By the time we picked Kylie up she fell asleep on the way home and is still asleep. So I really haven't gotten any time with her. sad.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif You do not sound silly at all. You sound like a dedicated mother, who spends great QT with her daughter. wub.gif

mummy2girls replied: you dont sound silly at all. I have never had a night to myself... but you know i am glad because i would miss her way too much! today while at my moms i asked if she wanted to spend the night at grandmas and she said yes but as i was getting my shoes on she had a meltdown and wanted to go home with me...LOL...

maby when im married( if that will ever happen) i will force jenna to stay at grandmas once in a while so i can be with hubby! But because its just me and her i want her with me..LOL

Nina J replied: It's not silly!

I often think how nice it would be to have the day to myself. Just the other day a friend looked after Emily for the day, and I was glad to have a quieter house and some time with Odessa. About 5 minutes later I missed Emily. It was good to have alone time with Odessa, but it was to quiet after a while.

dhoppygirl replied: I totally understand. I look forward to when the kids are with grandma and grandpa; I have tons of projects I want to do around the house. But as soon as they are gone, I am at a loss...the house is too quiet, I can't concentrate on what I am doing, I have to pull myself away from the phone so I am not calling every 10 minutes to hear their latest antics. Same with when I go to work. I think it will be a nice break from the kids, then I get to work and all I can do is think about them.

BTW, mommytoashley, we were in the same online expecting club when you were expecting Ashley and when I was expecting Peyton. She sure is a cutie!

holley79 replied: hug.gif Not silly at all. 100% pure loving mama.

luvmykids replied: I'm the same way, I say it's the same as hurry up and wait .... Would someone please HURRY UP and give me a break, then I WAIT for the time to crawl by until they're back hug.gif hug.gif

Brias3 replied: I know exactly what you mean! Most days, I would think its a dream come true to be able to send them off for the night and catch a breather but when they actually ARE gone, I miss them so much. Funny how it works.

Hope Ashley had fun at her grandma's! biggrin.gif
