I quit cold turkey when I found out I was PG. The caffiene withdrawals were bad for a few days, but I did better than I thought I woujld. I wish I had never started drinking that stuff again. I am just not as disciplined to do it on my own, being PG was a big motivator to stop, I guess.

Insanemomof3 replied: Good luck. I don't think I could do it. LOL I have to have my Diet Pepsi everyday...BUT. They just started putting splenda in Diet Coke, if they do that to my soda, I will be quitting that addiction too. I hate splenda.
Hope you can make it though! I could not even quit my smoking. If you can quit the soda thing, then maybe I will try the quit smoking thing too. hehe kinda like if you can do it so can I? hehe

And Bri, congrats on your decision to quit! We're all here for you!! Have you tried making the switch to water (even though I know its not the same thing) I tell you, the difference is unbelievable!!
This post has made me think, I can't remember the last time that I had pop like Pepsi or whetever! xx

mckayleesmom replied: Day 4...Im doing ok....I have been drinking water and Tea...I don't crave it as much when its not in the house....So far I haven't bought any...and I don't have the car...that helps too....LOL.
~KARA~ replied: Good for you! I havent had but mabe 5 or 6 sips of Mt dew since May 17th. Im not aloud to have it with my kidney infection. Which sucks cause I get migrains and that is normally the only thing that gets rid of them.

MissyKay2005 replied: Glad you have made the choice to give it up Soda is not good for us at all. Diet is even worse. I know staying away from caffine can be hard at times. Recomend coffe with very littel cream and maybe a dab of splenda if you can't stay away from it at all (caffine). Keep up the good work!!!!

Kaitlin'smom replied: You can do it, and cutting back on those with the calories will help you shed some extra LBS (if you need to), as long as your not replacing them. I know when I switched from reg to diet I lossed 20lbs in 4 months, now I dont drink that much pop at all anymore usually 1 a day, if that and I try and go for the caffee free ones, diet also of course.
