I have to wait for my ankle Dr to release me fist so I can start Wellbutrin
My Dr told me that using Wellbutrin has a good rate at helping you quit and it will also help with cravings and the nasty times.

We shall see after I failed at cold turkey and cutting back
Its so depressing to have to resort to a medication to help you quit bawling.gif

Good luck bc I know I will need it myself

luvbug00 replied: Good luck to you too Lisa!!! thumb.gif

MommyToAshley replied: thumb.gif Good for you for making the decision to stop!! I know you can do it and of course we will be here to support you!

DH used the nicorette gum to stop smoking, he said it helped him.

Lisa, congrats to you too. thumb.gif It really doesn't matter how you stop as long as you do. If the medication will help you to stop smoking then there's nothing wrong with that.

mommy_loves_chase replied: i just quit smoking my doctor gave me a pill that is an anit depressent that is safe for the baby you take it for a week before you stop smoking and then it cuts out the cravings after a week of taking it even the thought of a smoke made me so sick to my tummy let alone actully smoking one, it really worked made quiting easy which is something i thought i would never say

3_call_me_mama replied: GO GIRLS GO!!! YOU CAN DO IT:) I have faith in you:)

TANNER'S MOM replied: Ok I have done it...

A year in November

It wasn't easy..but you can do it.

To this day I still have the habit..like reaching for one or cracking my car window when I get in...but the want to is gone..

I will be here for both you ladies.. and I know you can do it..

Mom2Boyz replied: thumb.gif thumb.gif Good for you for deciding to quit thumb.gif thumb.gif

I also quit (cold turkey) last November. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but it was soooooooooooooooooo worth it.

Once you get past the first couple of days it just gets easier every day.

Good Luck!!

kayla's mama replied: You can do it!!!!!!

I did it cold turkey after 5 years, DH used the patch he was a 10 year + habit.

Its tough but you can do it. Good luck!!!! thumb.gif

kellibellisdillybear replied: I don't think there's anyone here that wouldn't support you, that's what this site's for right??

Good luck to you, I don't know what it's like to be addicted to anything, except food I guess! So I'm sure it's tough to quit, but your life and health will be so much better, and you'll be able to keep up with little ones better! How great!
