I need some P&PT'S

A&A'smommy wrote: For my mom she has been going to the doctor for over a year about some abdominal pain which it turned out that she had cysts on her ovaries. About a month ago she had a internal u/s and a mammogram and well the people who did her mammogram kept calling and kept calling to have her come back and have an u/s on her breast because the found something and they weren't sure what it was well she went back Monday and she got her results yesterday they said that they still one 100% sure what it is but to see a surgeon, they think its cancer. She going to see her surgeon Tuesday and talk about options. Then they are going to do a biopsy and when she wakes up from that she will know what it is and then they will remove it (It is the size of a dime which is REALLY good) then she may or may not go through a round of chemo. I have a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach today I wasn't really worried at first but I guess it just took it a while to get to me... I really hope its not we just went through this last year with his dad (who is mostly better btw) so please send some P&PT'S her way

Oh i forgot to add the the cysts on her ovaries are gone... Which is good!

jcc64 replied: Oh hon, even the mere possibility of cancer is terrifying to us all. But the good news is, the suspicious legion is very small, and breast cancer is VERY treatable if caught early enough. It sounds like this is the case with your mom, but I will be crossing my fingers for her nonetheless. Make sure she gets a 2nd opinion, too.

kit_kats_mom replied: My mom went through the same thing last year. Once it was biopsied, it turned out that it was just a mass but not cancer. I didn't realise how scared I was until she got the results. I literally felt a weight lift from my shoulders.

I'll be thinking of her & hoping it's nothing

MommyToAshley replied: I know how hard it is to hear the "C" word (or even the possibility of it), we just went through that with my Dad. I hope it turns out to be nothing. But, like Jeanne said, even if it is cancer, it sounds like they caught it very early and treatment and chances of full recovery are very good.
